Since I got my Plastic Soldier Panthers I've been thinking about ideas for a Panzerregiemnt Bake list

What do you think? I still need to buy a Bergepanther and the 250s to field this so I can't test it yet but it should be interesting to play.

Wow, thats a hard hitting list (especially against Armoured units). Are the 250's a Recce Platoon if so, I think you've got an optimum list, Tigers are a steal at 430.

I have nothing to add from a gaming perspective, but that is a very nice collection of German AFV's - especially the 'Stummel' variant of the SdKfz 251, which is one of my favourite half-tracks. Is this the FoW version of the mechanised Marine list?

I don't have any infantry in this list so it's more like an Imperial Guard armoured coy than any kind of marine list.

@ mwnciboo: Yes the 250's are recon and form two separate platoons. The only thing this list lacks is infantry but I just don't have the points to spare, not even for the extra crew for the panzerwerfers.

Sacraficing 4 werfers to 3 might get you extra crew and then one recce platoon may save enough to get a Pioneer platoon? Or a Mech Platoon i don't have to list to hand to check?

I know the 3 werfers is less resilient but in bombardment it still gets you the equivalent of 6. Are the Tigers Heer ones as I guess thats why the price in points is cheaper as Schwere SS are usually 480.

Oh if someone over at PSC would only make a Panzerwerfer 42 box...

They were bloody expensive for what they were, a Resin Metal Model with a Base and reload crew. I think it was £42 or so, could have bought the Tigers Marsch set for that!

There are four panzerwerfers with three with crew for a total of seven tubes. I was looking for a way to squeeze in a forth crew.

I don't really like those tiny pioneer platoons. They're too fragile and armour ignores the most common obstacles anyway.

I agree panzerwerfers are expensive and dull as models. They are damned good against infantry though.

And infantry/ pioneer pls/ coys are something that would be problematic for this list. They are great for pinning down those large dismount formations. I would keep them. I like the list.

Would you be able to bring your recce element over to motorizied as opposed to tracked (Well, half-tracked.). That will save 10pts, and the points to upgrade the fourth 'werfer.

You mean 222s? If I could I would I love 'Gruber's little tank' and Zvesda are releasing plastic ones later this year. Sadly my only recon options are Motorcycle Scouts or the 250s. Motorcycle scouts have the same squishy platoon size as the pioneers (four bases).
