I hosted my first Killzone Tournament and first tournament in general a couple weekends ago at my LGS. Besides bad die rolling on my part in the tournament (getting tabled my second), it was pretty fun. The most epic part was when a Fire Warrior held a Warp Spider Exarch in combat for 5 rounds.

Afterwards I looked through my list to see what I could make it more competitive and that was adding in some Kroot of course! Instead of being cheesy and just adding my kroot I already own into the list I decided to custom make my Killzone squad all of kroot and create a story behind them. So far I have 1/4 of the army built and 1/4 in the process of being made.

Fusion Stealth:

Burst Stealth Front:

Burst Stealth Rear:

Kroot Riflemen (Fire Warriors):

Kroot Sniper Rifle mock up (count's as Rail Rifle):

Oh those are raptors, sorry from this angle they look like alligators/crocs. Still really awesome though! I really like how the kroot add a beast/primal aspect to the tau, comes in handy for creative conversions. People use the tau for mecha conversions, kroot for primal conversions, and vespid for...well...maybe that's where the meat comes for that krootox?

I like the desert-like color of your kroot skin, It complements well the blues of the armors!

Thanks I was going to go with a brown/tan originally but then I realized that it would blend too much into the skin of the Kroot. I'm want to get these guys done but then at the same time kinda dreading the inevitable Edition change and Codex change which will make me re-design my Killzone team But hey all that means is more conversions in the future
