First look at the 'Snarling Wolf Siege Howitzer' resin upgrade kit for the Sledgehammer BFG.
The Sledgehammer Bones Kickstarter will be shipping in April, I will have the model on display at the Reaper booth where they will be taking pre-orders. I also will have some accessories and Jake Schneider's amazing conversion kits on sale.

Matilda Tank Update.
Yes its here at AdeptiCon! I will have two special 1st edition variants for sale at the Reaper both. These gorgeous resin kits have been cast by the clever folks at Trenchworx. These are a special preview edition that will each come with all sponson and hull gun options, as well as bonus turret guns for the Assault and Battle variants. Each version will be selling for $79.99. I only have around ten of each, so get in quick.
A later edition will hit the webstore in the coming months. More Matilda pics and news coming very soon.

I, for one, look forward to when the KS have shipped and I then get my copies.

The artillery park is going to look great!

So, we have a resin upgrade kit for the BFG...

any news on when we might actually be able to purchase said BFG from an online store if we missed the kickstarter 2 years ago?

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

Whenever Reaper gets them and has fulfilled their KS backers' pledges. That's when. April this year is the current guideline.

Plus you get the nifty packaging. I suspect the KS backers may get the bits in a bag if the BFG delivery ends up like the stated delivery of the big dragon from the campaign.

Awesome, thank you I will most likely pick one up when they get back on sale.

KS fulfills late April, final container is on the water. (grrrr! of course its the one with the Sledgehammers)
Once fulfilled Reaper will have it in their store, and I will too, though mine will have to wait until I get back to AUS.
All Sledgehammers will come in the boxed packaging, including the KS ones.

Managed to get my hands on one of the Matildas, as well as talk with Vic and some of the guys at Trenchworx. Had a great time! Really looking forward to what you've got coming down the pipe.

I am loving the Matilda. The inset sponsons come with holes for magnets, so you can switch them out very easily. Such a great design.

I'm also very excited about the WIP Griffon/Salamander. I've been itching for a replacement for them ever since FW took them out of print. Of course, the fact that you're working on a replacement Chimera chassis now has me eyeing my plastic versions the same way the Matilda and Sledgehammer have me eyeing my Russ and Basilisks....

Turn the plastic ones into Lost and the Damned perhaps?

Not a bad idea! Although my SOP is to just eBay them to fund the new acquisitions.

That too works!

I'm relegating my Russes and Chimeras, etc, to other projects, mostly LatD, or for my wife to Konvert up into Killin' Waggenz for her Orkz.

Speaking of traitors, I really must get back to sculpting next week...

That, sir, is a tracked mortar carrier carrying a very high calibre mortar, just shy of the Sledgehammer calibre, albeit with a drastically shorter mortar bomb.

Kestral:

Different shell size, barrel cut down (as you noticed), much thicker and heavier breach pieces of different shapes, and extra recoil compensating tubes on the top. There's a standard shell pictured (immediately to the left of the rear wheel set), variable powder charges (behind and to the left of each shell), and the shell furthest left is jam packed full of globes carrying your favourite crimes-against-humanity grade chemical or biological weapon.

Because nothing says "We don't value the lives of our crews" quite like eggshell fragile neurotoxins being fired out of a siege gun without any casing to protect the crew in case they break when the charges light off. (VERY Imperial, if I do say so myself.)

I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.

So, is that previewed kit just going to be a Griffon, or will more variants come from that one?

Let me say it is highly likely that there will be other variants with a greater or lesser degree of commonality...

To elaborate, some will have to have different hulls for different roles - there's really no two ways about it. The advantage, however, is that it keeps parts down while actually offering a bit more variety across highly likely the vehicle family.

Example: In that picture of the Mortar Carriage, most of the hull is a single piece, with some of the parts like the hatches and outer support for the gun being separate, and the track assemblies just slot on similar to the Matilda.

I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.

Will you guys also be looking into making the hull compatible with the Sledgehammer?

To really make it work would require a totally different hull - which isn't a problem, really.

I'd had a more Soviet style SPG hull in mind for the Sledgehammer, but we'll see what Vic wants to do now - plans do change sometimes!

I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.
