Morning all. Mods if this is in the wrong section please move, I was looking around, based on prior posts about battlefoam I put this here. I am putting up a post as in the past I have been critical of battlefoam, and very stubborn in adding a new bag.

---------------

Last night I head to Showcase Comics my FLGS to pick up some new trays for my Army Transport bag. I have all the sizes of Army Transport, but with my decision to start 40K Orks, I was struggling to make things fit. I am heading to a GT in New Jersey the Colonial, and really wanted to protect my purhase which is pretty converted, and quite the sized army. Talking to Mikhaila I asked his advise as a fellow Orky Big Mek. In hindsight, considering the amount of converting he does, he may be the Big Mek in the area, so I figured it was a good place to start. I picked up my Army Transport Trays, which tallied about 5-6 trays of varying size, realizing I need a bag I grabbed the standard bag. He kind of looked at me funny which is fair, as he knows what my army needs are, and knows I have several bags as is.

"Will you at least consider Battlefoam? Can you afford it? You are really underestimating the size requirements of Orks" Very fair and excellent points. So we walk over to the wall o' foam and he shows me lots of stuff. I do some head math and figure i'm adding $100 to the purchase if I go Battlefoam, as I need the bag. So I figure, i'll try it, what's the worst that happens? I'm not plucking foam, so if I don't like it Mike probably would let me return as long as its within a day or 2.

So I head home. I purchase 2 Loota / Burnas Trays, bag which is medium, and the SM Dreadnaught x6, and bike slots. I pull my army out to the grimacing of my wife of "yet another bag." But start popping stuff in slots, as she's watching womenly TV. EVERYTHING fits beautifully. I was surprised. The Dreadnaught spaces were roomy for my 6 Ork Killa Kans, I used some cotton wools to fill some space for safety.. which also will be used for when claws get blow off to mark which models have claws off. The Loota / Burna trays were brilliant. There is space for all my Elite slots, I can fit about 18 grots there as well, lastly there are amount 6 slots which fit big shootas nicely.

Ironically the Battlefoam can just about fit 2 army transport trays side by side. If you do not fill the case to the brim, you will fit a few side by side trays. I fit 4. This will help me get by as I had regular Boyz in Army Transport tray. So all in all, I’m surprised it worked so well. It was, for me, fiesible. I am not saying its for everyone. Also of note, I went to a FLGS, so Mikhaila had it all in shop, so no shipping, its pop in and purchase. Mikhaila was knowledgable, showed me what works, and what fits. I have room for about a 2500 pts army. I thought I owed it to Battlefoam for a review, as I have been critical in the past. Very happy about my purchase. Off to Colonial I go.. my orks are the Grey Skin, yellow Microart body piratey orks if anyone wants a reference

Pictures when I can!

Once you start buying (a) trays you specifically design on their site via the tray Creator or (b) trays BF specifically makes for your army, I think you'll end up even happier.

Don't get me wrong. I like Sabol. What I hate, however, is plucking foam... not to mention how much space is wasted that way.
