I currently have 11 deffkoptas and plan on getting more.
I am wondering if there is any rules under the sun that will allow them to be in one squad.
This isn't supposed to be for apocalypse as I know there is a battle formation.
Please help me and reply in this forum.

It's pretty unlikely, since the codex has rules for putting them into squads. If, for some reason, there is a way to do what you want, you'd be best off looking through Imperial Armor books.
Sorry, can't help much beyond that. The Apocalypse formation is the only one I know of.

From what I have heard you only need a few buzz saws in a units to make them frightening. As for rokkits I don't know since everything I know it hear say due to my not playing orks or even remotely knowing IG.

The backs of IG tanks arent good, and rokkit launchers are, rocket launcers, that are not heavy, but assault.

Maybe take a buzzsw to chop up the command squad.

One deff kopta with Buzzsaw
One deff kopta with Buzzsaw and twin linked rocket
One deff kopta with Buzzsaw and Kustom Blasta
One deff kopta with twin linked rocket
One deff kopta with twin linked Big shoota
This way you can wound allocate, you have 2 twin linked S8 shots and 1 non twin linked S8 shot and you have 9 S7 attacks that will auto hit if you get to scout up and go first. If you can explode one chimera before you assault the you can put one of the koptas with no buzzsaw on the squad and the others on another chimera. You will more than likely wreck/explode the chimera and wound a guardsman or two. This way you have a good chance of staying locked in combat, killing the unit on their turn so you can consolidate off and go kill something else.
In all honesty though, i would just take one unit of 2. Both with buzzsaws and one with twin linked rockets. This way you can always regroup because youre never below half strength and its not a huge points sink that can be potentially worthless if you dont go first or its Dawn of War.

If you can explode one chimera before you assault the you can put one of the koptas with no buzzsaw on the squad and the others on another chimera.
Can you multi assault in this scenario?
I was under the impression the Koptas could only assault the guardsmen since they were the ones that destroyed the Chimera?

I have found that units of 5 koptas will run off the table after two or three are killed to gunfire. Two is the most I'll put in a unit, now.
However, if you must run 5, put rockets on them, scout move them in front of your enemy, and shoot up a transport or a dreadnought or some dude's on foot.

I am only allowed 1 fast attack and I think 1 squad of 2 isn't as good as 1 squad of 5. By my simple maths I am pretty sure 5 is better than 2... please explain why 2 is better 5.

Anton I think they are saying that 2 is better than 5 due to them not being able to drop under half strength. In other words they can't break and flee. Really its your call: field 5 and maybe be able to get off some good damage but run the risk of having them break and run after 1 good turn of enemy fire, or run 2 and be able to harass and pop stuff until they get killed, but they won't break and run. Is this a fair assessment guys?

For this tournament that is 600 points and a 1000 points final. I have access to all ork types deffkoptas, lootas, tankbustas for example. the tournement is structured. 1 HQ or 2 if wanted, 1 elite, as many troops as wanted, 1 fast attack or 1 Heavy support. what should I use. I am open to all ideas

As far as units of 2 go, while they may fail a morale check and be forced to fall back (after losing one kopta they will have to do a morale check because they lost more than 25% of the unit, or they may have to check if they lose in an assault), they will never be below 50% so they can always attempt to regroup if they are in coherency and there isn't an enemy within 6".
If a unit of 5 loses 2 koptas (in one phase) it will have to do a morale test just like the unit of 2 in the above examples and may still be able to regroup, but if a unit of 5 loses 3 koptas and fails the morale check it will never be able to regroup because it is under 50%.

If theres no troop limit i would run as many squads of 20 boyz with a nob and power klaw and bosspole as i could get. And the reason 2 is better than 5 is... well do the math on how many points 5 decked out deff koptas would be then divide it by 600 then multiply it by 100. Thats the percentage of your already small army that the deff koptas take up. And like the above have said, you dont even have to kill the whole unit to make it moot.

Sorry if my comment came off as douche bag-ish. I was just saying that you may wanna look at how much space those Koptas would take up then look at the fact that they dont live very long. At 600pts youre going to see that there isnt a whole lot that could deal with Horde effectively. You can even do a few units of shoota boyz in case you see purifiers or wolves.

I did the same. I also used the gun barrel of a battlewagons zzap gun as a hydraulic arm for it and attached it to the vent on the underside of the AOBR koptaz. It really looks amazing.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
