After seeing some of the amazing conversions and paint on the forum; I've decided to start my own.

I call this the Nephryt Dynasty!

I used House of Kolor's color shifting paint for everything but the Warriors and Immortals. I have done what I could to show the "shift" in color; but it's kinda one of those things that doesn't capture well.

I will update this thread as I finish things and have the time.

Sooooo.

First up:

the Display Board

Spyders
The crystals are my conversion for Gloom Prisms and are magnatized.

Ark Warriors
These were made by cutting off part of the "spine" and attaching to a slotta base. Why waste those warriors when you could use em on the board?

Deathmark (sample)

OOP Raiders / Gauss Immortals / Warriors

Warriors *green rods*

Scarabs

Stormbringer

the Infinite

the Traveller

Orb Lords

Lords

Tremorteks
I made these with magnetic Harps.

Destructeks

Despairteks
These were a kitbash. (Fantasy wraith, scarab, deathmark head)

Chronoteks

Anny Barge

Ghost Arks

Wraiths

Why is the infinate missing a huge part of his cape?

That black with green "fairy dust" on the the tanks looks really nice.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

Wasnt aware he was... maybe the way I assembled him.

That "fairy dust" turns blue and purple when light is shifted. Also makes it hard to photograph. IRL the green is solid lol.

Those "Despairteks" would make for great Wraith conversions, as I just remembered they even come with alternate metal faces!!!

Thumbs up to you!

What do the ark warriors count as? These are all very well executed.

Thanks. The Ark Warriors count as (are) regular gauss warriors. I just couldnt see wasting them. *Since I have 60* I've magnatized the doomsday cannon to fit in the ark, but didnt feel inclined to do the same with the warriors.

Gah. I missed those on the first view, and now they cannot be un-seen :( It detracts horribly from what is an excellently themed and executed army.

Bah.... anything you pull out of a Space Marines posterior is bound to become a little distorted.
If I had it to do again, I would attempt to straighten them more. (should have seen them before)
Whats the luck of getting 4 outta 4 failcost minis that have no bubble-flaws though?!

Nice take on the Necrons. I Iike the vibrant color scheme, very diiferent than what you usually see with the same ole drab monochromatic paint job.

Great looking army! Unique paint scheme and I very much like seeing all the variations of metallic colors, but it's not done in an OTT distracting way! Nice job!

I've seen this army in person and the Kolor Shift (think cars that change color in the light as it drives by) paint was awesome. You end up doing a double take as it first looks purple, then turns blue then green. Having the display board do the same thing really pulls the army together.

Cool pics, but I don't think the pics do the color change justice. It's a very cool effect and looks great with this army.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
