First question, I'd like to buy the ork nob with power claw and waagh banner from GW but it's not listed as finecast yet. Still metal. It doesn't say it's not avaiable so are they still making metals for the mini's that aren't finecast yet? I'd very much like to buy the model.

Second question, I'm having trouble dealing with a furiouso dreadknuaght, as an ork player how do you deal with them. More boyz doesn't seem to work. It tears through them and my nobz squad like its no big deal. And my 3 defcoptas don't seem to roll well enough to kill it. Should I get some mortars and try and bomb it from far off maybe?

Against the Furioso, consider Killa Kanz or Deff Dreads. Think about it. The only real downside to the Furioso Blood Talons is that they're just Lightning Claws....in other words, they're strength 6. By contrast, your Kans and your Deff Dread are strength 10. Your walkers have the advantage over a Blood Talon Dreadnought. He can only glance your Kans on a roll of 5+ and he can only pen on a roll of 6+....not bad for a 50 point model! He can only glance your Deff Dread on a roll of 6+.

You can put rokkits on your Kans for a squad of 3 BS 3 rokkits, that should muck up his day. Or, you could get an extra DCCW on your Deff Dread. Either should obliterate a Furioso Dread.

You could grab a Kan wall. With a Kan wall, you could use the Big Mek's Kustom Force Field to give the Kans a 4+ cover save from shooting while screening the rest of your army from both shooting and close combat. The Big Mek also offers the ability to take a single Deff Dread as a troops choice, in other words, you could have a veritable walker legion with 3 Heavy support choices of 3 Kans each (9 total) and a Deff Dread as a troop choice. None of which are vulnerable to Furioso Dreads, and all of which will serve as a wall against Furioso Dreads attacking your more vulnerable troops.

Destroy the Blood Angels for great justice!

I'll have to try those. I wouldn't mind seeing them lose for once. Don't think I've seen them lose yet even online.

This dude wins, with a Kan Wall no less. No Furioso Dreads though...almost entirely Assault Marines, one Devastator Squad and Mephiston from my tally.

Even then, it's quite a mess.

Does the killa kan box let you outfit the kans the way you want or do they only give you one of each weapon option in the box?

Here's the sprue that comes with the kit:

GW's online listing says:
"This box set contains three multi-part plastic Ork Killa Kans. This 94-piece set includes: three variations of Cockpit, three different close combat weapons, a big shoota, a rokkit launcha and a skorcha."

So I think it's one of each.

You might need to purchase Kans outfitted with the rokkits on ebay or something, or purchase it second hand from the trading post on this forum. Alternately, you could buy some bits from GW or elsewhere.
Here's a picture of the sprue's from GW's listing:
Spoiler:

They always make these stupid kits without the requisite parts

So they don't provide the grotzooka then. Is that something I can order sepratly or do I have to model it myself?

There is one grotzooka. It comes in two pieces. It's close to the bottom-middle.

there is an easy solution to your Dread problem.

Boarding Planks.

Put a Boarding plank on a truuk (preferably on every troop carrying vehicle you field) and use that for the Warboss/Nob (who should always have Power Klaws) to swing at the Dread.
You get your attacks as if charging, and the Dreadnaught cannot strike back as it's not in BtB.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

Depending on whether or not this is your first army (or if you have friends willing to part with random bits) you can also kitbash the Kans. I did that to mine - bought three packs, and converted six extra weapons to be rokkit launchas so I could run them all. A couple of missile launchers glued to the big shoota, a hunter-killer glued onto the grotzooka, and you're all set.

Kans and Deffs tie up the Furrioso dread w/ blood tallons well. I just started playing orks, and, I have used the same strategy with my IG sentinels. An armored sentinel jumping into assault with blood taloned furioso and they sit there for most of the game.

Walkers can be.

Both Sentinels and Dreads are Walkers, so they can be tied up in CC. Armored Sentinels have an armor value if 12, and since you always hit the front of walkers in CC, the Furioso with blood talons can only glance on a 6+. This should work the same for your DeffDread, provided you get it into CC

Actually in comes in three pieces

Left side, right side and the little scrap thingy.

You can often find kanz arms in bits shops or on ebay.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

I don't mind what you see is what you get so much. It adds verity to the models and helps people visually with the game. My biggest grip with it is that GW doesn't give you enough options to kite your squads out in the boxes.

Example would be the nobs box, they only give you 1 combi-flamed in the box so if I want another one I have to go buy another box of nobs. Thy only give you 3 power claws as well. Very frustrating.

Or it's a way to actually keep track of things on models and make everything clear and sensible for players. Or you know GW IS EVIL A BLOO BLOO BLOO. It's not like you can't convert your own grotzooka easily enough.

To anyone that knows, can I use a rokkit from the Deff Dread kit on a Killa Kan without any conversion or splicing?
