Capain Shrike, if you are going with Codex Marines. He gives the whole army fleet, which is pretty awesome. As unfortunate as it is to say, however, if you are going heavy on the melee Blood Angels would probably be the better 'assaulty' kind of army.

Techmarine - Servo harness, Thunder Hammer, 5x Servitors, each with Plasma Cannon/295pts

Vanguard Veteran Squad - Thunderhammer (sergeant), 2x Thunderhammer/200pts

Whirlwind - /85pts
Whirlwind - /85pts
Whirlwind - /85pts

Pretty much the greatest, most competitive list you can run using C:SM. Real hardcore players don't use vehicles, and troops are for the weak.
