I loved the first game. Poor Rabbit R.I.P

The sound effects, the enviroments and the boldness of the game is what defined it from Call of Duty. Not to mention it might have Australian SASR! Heres the link guys, try not to mess yourselves

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALnL6XiTXgQ

So anyway the thread is here to connect with other MoH players and to discuss the game as it's revealed later on.

Enjoy!

Heres a bit more news on it:

http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2012/03/09/medal-of-honor-warfighter-release-date-preorder/

Sounds like it's going to be more of an international crowd rather than just Americans taking all the glory. Also we get to have a "blue vs. blue" mode where we get to see the ultimate warriors go head to head.

Come on, noone is excited for this?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Well how about we all describe our favourite MoH game?

Mine is Airbourne because of the unique ability to drop wherever you want to on the map and complete objectives in any order.

No because the last game was bloody horrible. MoH never made a fan of me, its sad to say this but I prefer CoD or BF to these games any time.

Well this was made before Battlefield 3 and it's the same people who went onto produce BF3! You can see a whole bunch of gak they tested in MoH then went on to use it in BF3. I'm sure they've learnt a few things by now. Plus I would have to say MoH was better campaign than BF3.

The last game was pretty good, better than the BF and CoD serise anyway. But at the same time, it's still rather generic.

Yeah, alot of FPS's can be like that and it does it repetitive. However I loved MoH Airbourne mainly because of it's intiative of using the parachute into your target. The sound and visuals was well beyond it's years as well when you compared it to Call of Duty 3 at the time. As for the recent MoH I loved the multiplayer, was alot like gold rush from bad company but they did it better. Also the story, the graphics and sounds were amazing. You can see alot of it in Battlefield.

That I am aware of, and I never bougth any of the games for their single player campagin. Witch can be boiled down to " You good, terrorist bad GO KILL" types of gamplay. And I also dont claim that BF or CoD has a flawless MP, its just my personal taste

I bought all of them for the single player (mainly because my internet use to be dodgy). Plus back in the day when games didn't have multiplayer, like MoH Frontline, MoH Rising Sun etc.

The last Medal of Honor didn't exactly 'innovate everything' for BF3... I may be wrong on this but I believe it was using the previous frostbite engine that they used in BFBC 2, not BF3's version. Maybe they learned some lessons but the game looked so similar to BFBC2 that I felt it'd just been copied and pasted over.

Ultimately it was CoD's gameplay with that pretty graphical engine... which is a pretty good compromise I guess.

As for MoH in general. Loved Frontline and that nostalgic title of my youth is where I leave my esteem for the franchise. Airborne was O.K. but the series lost its direction. I wonder how much of it had to do with the devs leaving and forming Infinity Ward? Few people seem to remember that CoD's origins come straight out of MoH when some wise men though 'Do people really want to be a superhuman one man army? Or do they want to fight along buddies and feel like a real soldier?'

Of course, unfortunately this vision was skewed with you being a superhuman one man army who happened to have some inept buddies insisting they were covering him but actually slacking off

In the belly of the whale.

MoH Frontline was a brilliant game. Went down hill after European Assault in my opinion.

I thought it looked hella better tahn BFBC2, but t hat could be because I thought BFBC2 was vedry mediocre while MoH was actually somewhat good.

Never really got into anything with the most recent MoH release. I tried the Beta and found it to be one of the glitchiest betas in history (I couldn't even get into a game cause the browser didn't work) and then I just uninstalled it and forgot the game existed

Did the last MoH catch some flak from the media for actually using the Taliban as the main enemy?

"Oh, no you can't depict a real terrorist organisation! It must be some made up russian nutjob!"

Honestly how many of them own gaming PC's and would be offened? Hell they get to kill virtual infidels in multiplayer.

Sorry just had like a 4 hour debate with a friend over this.

That was a stupid debate and I was shocked it became as big a deal as it did.

I loved Medal of Honor, I dont understand why it was so poo-pooed by the gaming community. The only thing that was a serious downside for me was that all the cool functionality of the single player game was removed for multi (such as being able to slide into cover, etc.)

The sliding animation probably lagged the server or people where morphing into someone elses legs while sliding. Better to just get rid of it rather than it causing a problem.

Yeah there was a big boo hoo about the Taliban being playable... to the extent that on multiplayer the faction was renamed to 'Insurgents'.

But the voice acting still identified them as T and AQ.

So anyway I went back and played it again and they use the word Taliban, Al Queda and Mujahideen.

I think I might grow a beard like Dusty and wear sunglasses all the time. Did anyone else notice that they wore them at night? Also the life expectancy of helicopters in these games is pretty terrible.

Who would win in a fight, Captain Price or Dusty?

Dusty, because he's not from a call of duty game

That depends. Is it pre-MW2 Captain Price, or post-MW2 Captain Price? Cause one is a bad ass and the other just some loser who somehow manages not to die every game.

Alright then, Dusty vs Haggard from Bad Company. Truckersaurous-Rex can be included.

I can honestly say I bought both Bad Company games and I played single player in neither of them

So I have no idea who that is (or who Dusty is for that matter lmao)

Well Haggard is a pyromaniac redneck with a shotgun and a hatred of hippies/liberals. Dusty is an ultra tier 1 operator with a fist behind his beard and the ability to see at night while wearing oakleys.

So basically Sarge vs Chuck Norris.

Hmmm. Tough call. Tough call.
