Hey mates, after some playtesting, time for a slightly different list. Hows this for an all-round and diverse Necron list?
100 Necron Overlord, Warscythe
80 Catacomb Command Barge, Gauss Cannon
125 Royal Court (mentioned with the Units they're attached to)
160 Necron Overlord, Warscythe, Sempiternal Weave, Mindshackle scarabs, Ressurection Orb (with Immortals)
185 Royal Court (mentioned with the Units they're attached to)
85 5 Necron Immortals, Tesla Carbines + Necron Lord, Warscythe, Mindshackle Scarabs (+ Overlord)
65 5 Necron Warriors + Cryptek, Solar Pulse, Eldrith Lance + Cryptek, Eldrith Lance
65 5 Necron Warriors + Cryptek, Solar Pulse, Eldrith Lance + Cryptek, Eldrith Lance
65 5 Necron Warriors + Cryptek, Eldrith Lance + Cryptek, Eldrith Lance
150 Triarch Stalker
205 Canoptek Wraiths, 3 Whip Coils
175 Doomsday Ark
200 Necron Monolith
90 Annihiltation Barge
1750 points
Thoughts? Does changing the Triarch Stalker for 10 Scarabs make this list better/more allround? The added speed is cool, the antiarmour stuff too. Still Im not fond of Scarabs vs infantry...

I know its a little cheesy.......but I would suggest dropping the Ann. barge for 2 spyders. I dont know where you find the 10 points, but Im sure there is SOMETHING you can do without. Perhaps downgrade Immortals to warriors, That can be a tough call as its nice to have 1 unit of 3+ armour. The Soyders are a nice....last minute defense, for anything that gets a little close.
One other thing you may consider (especially if you want the spyders) is a small 3 scarab unit. I would drop a lance for this. You will still have plenty of shooting (other lances, stalker, barge, mono) but now yo have wraiths, scarabs, AND a barge to go out from your army......and you still have the Mindshackle crew and Spyders to play guard dog. In a pinch those Spyders can bumrush Auto Dreads.
As a whole I really like this list. Other than the troop units I really like all the diversity.

Not a fan of putting a res orb in the unit unless its maxed out, but either way you want that res orb on the Lord, not the Overlord, as the Lord won't be able to be singled out in CC.

Thnx for your replies all.
@Lucre: I've though about this and have chosen to add a Veil Cryptek. Seemed like a good idea after reading this BatRep by Hyv3mynd: http://synaps3.blogspot.com/2012/03/batrep-2000pts-dark-eldar-vs-necrons.html
@Shadar: Good idea, ResOrb shifted to the Lord. Also I've added some to the unit so the ResOrd has even more impact.
@Norbu: Thanks mate. Spyders will make in to the list one of these days, I love MC's and yeah, they add flexibily. For now I've tried to take this list in a slightly different direction:
180 Overlord w. Scythe, CCB w. Gauss Cannon
150 Court: Pulse-Lance Cryptek / Lance Cryptek / Veil Cryptek
165 Anrakyr the Traveler
165 Court: Pulse-Lance Cryptek / Lance Cryptek / Lord w. Scythe, ResOrb
150 Triarch Stalker
136 8 Pyrrhian Eternals (w. Anrakyr, Lord and Veil Cryptek)
65 5 Warriors (w. Pulse-Lance Cryptek / Lance Cryptek)
65 5 Warriors (w. Pulse-Lance Cryptek / Lance Cryptek)
205 5 Wraiths, 3 Coils
175 Doomsday Ark
200 Monolith
90 Annihilation Barge
1746 points
11 Kp's
36 models
10 Heavy Weapons
Thoughts?

Short update with minor battlereport from me:
Played a game vs. a good friends (Judge Fear on these boards) Grey Knights yesterday and found that I really enjoyed the direction in which my army is developing...
I took the following:
180 Overlord w. Scythe, CCB w. Gauss Cannon
150 Court: Pulse-Lance Cryptek / Lance Cryptek / Veil Cryptek
165 Anrakyr the Traveler
165 Court: Pulse-Lance Cryptek / Lance Cryptek / Lord w. Scythe, ResOrb
150 Triarch Stalker
136 5 Pyrrhian Eternals (w. Anrakyr, Lord and Veil Cryptek)
65 5 Warriors (w. Pulse-Lance Cryptek / Lance Cryptek)
65 5 Warriors (w. Pulse-Lance Cryptek / Lance Cryptek)
200 5 Wraiths, 2 Coils, 1 PC
60 1 Heavy Destroyer
175 Doomsday Ark
200 Monolith
90 Annihilation Barge
We played a Capture and Controll Spearhead mission on a cityfight terrain board. My opponent took the following (more or less):
Grey Knight Terminator Captain w. Psycannon
Inquisitor in Terminator Armour and Psycannon
(combat squaded Terminator Squads)
5 Terminators, 2 Psycannons, assortment of Halberds and Swords (with Captain)
5 Terminators, assortment of Halberds and Hammers
5 Terminators, 2 Psycannons, assortment of Halberds and Swords (with Inquisitor)
5 Terminators, assortment of Halberds and Hammers
Dreadknight, Uberflamer
Dreadknight, Uberflamer
Dreadknight, Uberpsycannon
I won the roll off and choose to go first. I place my objective in terrain deep within my quarter toward my table edge. He places his objective dead center of his quarter.
I deployed my army taking up most of my deployementzone. Thus making sure he could not deepstrike in my ranks and I had room to collapse and withdraw towards my table edge if needed.
Judge Fear chose to reserve his entire army only deploying 4 servitorskulls, to aid in precise deep strike deployment.
He stole the initiative.
First turn:
- Grey Knights do nothing.
- Necrons shift to the center of my half of the table, still taking up a lot of board space. The Immortals use Veil to drop on his objective and run into adjacent terrain. My CCB moves flat out to also contest his objective.
Second turn:
- I fire SP #1. Grey Knights get two Dreadknights and three Terminator Squads. One Dreadknight drops near his objective and fires his Uberflamer at my Immortals, because of RP the Immortals suffer no lasting casualties. The other Dreadknight drops next to a squad of Warriors and fires the uberflamer killing two after RP rolls. One of the Terminator squads mishaps and I get to place it. I relocate them into the backfield in terrain to force dangerous terrain rolls. Saddly to no effect. The other Terminator squads land somewhat off target and gets to shoot. One of the Squads fails to see in the dark, the other kills my lone Heavy Destroyer.
- That was not too shabby! I now have localised superiority vs 1 Dreadknight with the CCB and Immortals, 1 Terminator squad is no threat for at least two turns and the rest of my army gets to focus on a Dreadknight and 11 Terminators. The Dreadknight near his objective gets swept by the CCB for 2 wounds. The Overlord gets out and charges. The Immortals roll 1 and 2 for chargemove through terrain and cannot support... Blegh. The Lord takes 2 wounds, the Dread makes 2 inv saves out of 3 and is left with 1 wound remaining. The other side of the table: Triarch Stalker lights up a squad of Terminators which is then fired upon by the Doomsday Ark and 4 Eldritch Lances. Thanks to coversaves on his behalf the captain and a psycannon terminator remain. Wraiths charge the other Dreadknight. This combat would last 3 turns ending in the death of the Dreadknight while the Wraiths suffer 1 wound.
Third turn:
- I fire SP #2. He gets a Dreadknight, which lands in the midst of my ranks (it was a daring DS but it payed of for him). His shooting kills some Warriors and 2 Lance Crypteks. Highlight: My Doomsday Ark makes 3 coversaves vs. Psycannon penetrating hits... In assault the Lord near his objective dies, the Dread consolidates, Lord gets up after RP and joins the Immortals.
- The Immortals + Overlord and Anrakyr Veil into my deploymentzone. Necrons kill two Dreadknights in the shooting phase. The wounded one near his objective and the fresh one in the midst of my ranks. I also kills some 3 Terminators through shooting.
Fourth turn:
- He gets his last Terminators, deepstriking in the middle of my army. They shoot at Warriors, who go to ground and loose 1 after RP. Other Terminators shoot my Immortals. After RP no-one dies. A third Terminator squads shoots at my Monolith with 3 Psycannons and gets no results whatsoever. In assault a Terminator squad with 3 models charge a 3 man Warrior squad. 1 Warrior survives... :-) Another Terminator squad (Captain+Psycannon-dude) fails to assault far enough through terrain to reach my Immortals.
- The combined Necron forces kill 3 Terminators from the freshly arrived squad. Mostly with the Stalker and Doomsday Ark. The Immortal squad charges Terminators and kills his Captain while loosing Anrakyr to a forceweapon-wound. Anrakyr would not get up. The ResOrb accounted for 5 succesfull RP rolls up to that point so I couldn't complain. The Wraiths finally kill the Dreadknight in assault.
Fifth turn:
- A lone Terminator charges my Doomsday Ark which now has no main gun anymore and is stunned and shaken. In the Assault phase the Terminator squad with 3 men left charges 3 Warriors. He whifs again and 1 Warrior is left standing (on top of my objective). The Immortals finish the lone Terminator they were locked with.
- The Immortals use Veil to DS on top of his objective. The Stalker kills the lone Terminator that damaged my Doomsday Ark. The Wraiths assault the 3 Terminators in combat with the lone Warrior, killing them all.
At the end of turn 5 we roll a 2, so the battle ends. I claim both objectives. The Grey Knights have 5 Terminators left. I have lost Anrakyr, 9 Warriors and 4 Crypteks and a Heavy Destroyer.
Especially the Veil is a very valuable addition to the list. I also quite like the different units and options and the way they complement each other. The Triarch Stalker resulted in a lot of rerolls. The Monolith did not have a big impact this game, but it was standby the whole time to shift squads if needed. I just never needed that this game. Anrakyr prooved usefull over a basic Overlord because a S8 Warscythe autokilled his captain. His Tachyon arrow wounded a Dreadknight. Beyond that the Mind in the Machine obviously did nothing... The Doomsday Ark caused a good deal of wounds. 6 Terminators fell to it's Cannon iirc. The Lone Heavy Destroyer didn't get to do anything. I chalk that up to the fact I played a DSing opponent. Vs a regular opponent the Destroyer should get at two turns of shooting because of the two Pulses. I'll keep it for now. I realise I'm light on troops, still it feels like I could get away with it given the options to shift them using Veil and Monolith. Cover + RP/ResOrb makes them rather sturdy as well.
Just to keep y'all updated on the evolution of the list...
