G'day all. I feel the need to validate my wargaming habit through the creation of a 'blog'.

So here it is...

Starting off with my W.I.P. Chaos Undivided army. The colour scheme is from the CSM Codex, the Reborn, and is relatively quick to paint. The following are pcitures of my first finished Plague Marines squad. Things are going to get image heavy...

Next up we have my pre-paint Daemon Prince. Basically a ramshackle amalgamation of Tyranid, River Troll, Greenstuff, Warmachine and Plasticard.

More to come...

Really like the oxidised copper look of your plague marines, and your Daemon prince is great! Really weird looking and original.

So how'd you get over your "chronic procrastination"? I'm a fellow sufferer but mine is mostly to do with my lack of painting skill so I figure my minis are better off unpainted , but you're certainly not short of skill in that department.

Ooh, The Reborn, Cool! Your traitors are looking good brother. That conversion daemon prince is looking pretty good too, im not sure about the legs though, a bit small somehow. Keep it up, looking good.

@ Skarwael: I'm a busy guy, but I try to get in 30 min or so of painting per day. A little more on weekends of course. Working full time and part-time study can take up a lot of your free time. It also helps to find a scheme that is relatively simple to paint in a mass production style.

@ genom.com: The stubby legs are intentional. I was trying to go for an overweight look for the DP, so I figured having little legs under a massive belly would help promote this look.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Updating with some pics of my W.I.P. Obliterators.

These guys were made using the plastic Chaos Terminator kit, along with a whole stack of unused bitz from various places. In Aus, the GW metal Obliterators are $38AUD a pop, and I personally find the models a bit bland and uninspiring.

Still tossing up what colour to paint the fleshy growths on these minis...

Ah, i see, in that case, well done. I'm digging these oblits alot, good bases, i like the concept with the metal weapons, though it might do with a wash. Keep it up!

Wow... just... wow.

The oxidized copper looks just fantastic, and I love your conversions.

The Daemon prince in particular is just fantastic. I really can't wait to see it finished!

This was my reaction too. They're looking awesome. Love the corrosion on the weapons as well as the armour. The loin cloths have this kind of greasy oily look to them, maybe go with something like that for the Oblit flesh? Looking forward to seeing more of this. Oh, and your Prince is looking completely sick!

Thanks for the comments guys, I'll get some pictures of the first finished Obliterator up shortly, as well as some shots of my W.I.P. Khorne Berzerkers.

For now, here are some Possessed that are awaiting an application of paint.

I love the reborn scheme and you've done them some serious justice. The mythril silver is a little bright for my personal taste (i think thats what you used on the oblit guns) but I won't hold that against the work you've done here. Amazing.

It's actually very watered down boltgun metal (my paint pot is starting to dry up something fierce). Not to worry, it has been given a very liberal wash of badab black and rustified.

Behold! The first completed obliterator. Many more to follow...

I went for a torn and bloody appearance for the flesh. I like the idea that its constantly changing and tearing, compensating for the machinery contained within the armour.

Here come the Khorne Berzerkers I promised.

These guys have been made using the standard KB kit, as well as some torsos and arms from the gor herd range. There are also a few Ogre weapons thrown in for good measure. I've always enjoyed the idea that Berzerkers were so mad, so dedicated to slaughter, that they sometimes neglect to even finish putting on their armour before launching themselves into battle. They have no care to repair and maintain their weapons, so they pick up whatever is available, crude clubs, swords, axes, whatever they can get their hands on to cause more skulls to be placed at the throne of the blood god.

The process of attaching a gor body to space marine legs leaves some pretty hideous gaps, so I cut up some thin sheets of metal into rough loin-cloth shapes. These will be greenstuffed over to give the appearance of chainmail, and to cover any imbalances with the model.

Just some very early W.I.P. of my Daemon Prince St. Celestine.

I've always wanted to use the St. Celestine miniature as a Daemon Prince, just finally got around to doing it.

Not a massive job truth be told. Possessed winged backpack and a plasticard sword. The sword is meant to look like molten rock, cracking and reforming constantly. Once its painted I'm sure it'll show through.

You can see the very edge of some sketches for sword ideas in the shots.
