Dangerous Duet






So hi, I'm trying to jump in the WHFB hobby, and I made these three listwith the books of my friends, and basing myyself on the battalions (to start fast and withouth spending to much). Which would be the best to start with for a beginner :

WoC

Exalted Hero : Mark of Nurgle, Enchanted Shield, Sword of Swift Slaying
Total : 170 (24,29 %)

Chaos Warrior x10 : Additional hand weapon, Musician, Standard : Banner of Rage
Total : 213 (30,43 %)

Chaos Marauders x10 : Great Weapons, Light Armour, Musician, Standard
Total : 72 (10,29 %)

Chaos Knight x5 : Standard : Festering Shroud
Total : 245 (35 %)

Beastmen

Wargor : Sword of Swift Slaying, Enchanted Shield, Uncanny Senses
Total : 135 (19,29 %)

Gors x20 : Musician, Standard
Total : 155 (22,14 %)

Ungor x10 : Musician, Standard
Total : 59 (8,4 %)

Bestigors x10 : Musician, Standard, Gouge-Horn, Gnarled Hide, Uncanny Senses

In the dark recesses of your mind...

I say go with whichever army inspires you the most. If you can get inspired by an army, playing it will be more fun, and painting it will seem like less of a chore.

I think the WoC list is probably the best one, but I agree with Helium that you should play whatever army you like the look of the most.

Thx for your answers ! Yeah the problem is I'm equally inspired by these three . But after reflexion, our right, I'm surely going WoC after comparing stats and strategy

Maybe a better way to look at it:

1) easiest learning curve, big'n beefy

2) not as often used army, will be something different

3) challenging army, tough but erratic at times
