Hi 1000pts list I want to share I know land raiders typically are not good in 1000pts but in this list it provides the anti tank that I am really lacking anti tank other wise.

wolf guard battle leader with thunder hammer wolf tooth necklace saga of the warrior born and melta bombs
with
9x blood claws-power weapon and flamer
in
Land raider with multi melta

10x grey hunters with powerfist and standard

Land Raiders are sort of a mixed blessing in low points. At 1000 points, not much will be able to deal with them...but you could also lose 25% of your army to a lucky lascannon shot.
If you're looking for anti-tank, you could have two slightly smaller squads of Long Fangs (5 marines, with 4 ML's) for cheaper!
In addition to that, something that should probably be done either way - give those 10 Grey Hunters 2 Meltaguns. It's 5 points for both. More anti-tank, anti-elites...and for 5 points!

Blood Claws are fun to use, but Grey Hunters are much better. Even in assault, thanks to a 10 pt Wolf Standard, the Grey Hunters can do at least as well. Not to mention, the extra WS and bolters.

Your WGBL is way too expensive and way too fragile. 150 points, and he dies the same as any two wound marine. A Rune Priest would definitely be more effective. However, if you're looking for a combat character, take a Wolf Lord with minimal upgrades...maybe a Frost Axe and meltabombs.

I would consider something along these lines:

Rune Priest

9 Grey Hunters
- 1 Meltagun
- Wolf Standard
- Mark of the Wulfen
- Rhino

10 Grey Hunters
- 2 Meltaguns
- Wolf Standard
- Mark of the Wulfen
- Rhino

5 Long Fangs
- 4 Missile Launchers
- Razorback with Las/Plas

5 Long Fangs
- 4 Missile Launchers
- Razorback with Las/Plas

All of that is only 880 points, so you could add some Land Speeders or a Vindicator or a couple TWC. Of course, all of this is assuming you want to go with a "competitive" list. If not, feel free to ignore this

The list above is not optimised for you.
Drop both squads to 9 men, the priest can then move in either rhino depending on what happens, keeping him out of cc and fire for example.
That give you the points to give the rune priest a chooser of the slain, this lets you bump his BS to 5 when you are using living lightening or murderous hurrican on the enemy.

The 8 rockets will be great for mid-light armour and for tearing open hordes and space marines, perfect squads. Their transports need to augment your army, the only thing this army lacks is taking out terminators or av14, these are things you won't see much of at 1000pts but they do happen. The laz plaz can do an ok job at range and is very dangerous up close if you don't move, really these guys are only of use in a BA list with the move six and shoot everything tank. A twin linked lazcannon on the other hand moves 6 and will almost always hit the mark and you don't have to do any kitbashing or conversion to make one.
I have a tooled out wolf lord on a thunderwolf in my list and people gak themselves trying to kill it while the rest of the army does it's work, you have to be able to bring some big guns to the game to deal with that sort of death star that turns up every so often.

Though if you really want to break the game at 1000pts then try this,
2 crusaders with a multimelta
2 ten man squads of GH 2 meltaguns, MOTW, wolf banner.
The last 120 points depends on what you want to do.
I would take a wolf priest with necklace and wolf tail talisman and melta bombs.
You could also take a wgbl with a storm sheild and a claw.
Dont take a rune priest as it is not a cc unit.

I doubt there is a 1000 point army out there that would be able to take out that list easily. You probably won't win a lot but you won't be loosing too many.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.
