Hello,

A friend of mine is one cheesy O&G player with a perverse love of fielding loads of mangler squigs.
How do I counter those buggers? Till now I've adapted to this by bringing massive amounts of warhounds.

So tell me guys (and girls), there must be a another/better/efficient way to get em??

Having something expendable sit on them or shoot them dead is the only way to kill them.

Which for WoC means you have Warhounds sit on them, or you could use a magic missile.

Thats really all there is. Other armies have better ways of doing this but Warriors are kinda stuck.

alternatively, you can run right up to it with that same expendable unit before it gets close to you. If the greenskin loses control of the squig while it's still closer to his guys than yours, there's a decent chance it will end up hurting him worse than you.

Field a couple of cheap Marauder units without any upgrades, or, as you already do, send Warhounds at them. Or you get a Hellcannon!

But it's true that your options are really limited against Mangler Squigs.

I would not use the Hellcannon against Manglers.

its just a waste of its killing power and your opponent wins if you do that because its not ripping chunks out of his blocks.

Small units of Warhounds should be working fine.

Flickering Fire of Tzeentch should make short work of them.

For WoC, Warhounds and Flickering Fire should be working.

Personally, I like throwing Spirit Host at them

I hate hard counters. In a game of rock, paper, scissors, I hate playing any of the factions because no matter what you choose you might as well not deploy against your hard counter. I want to use a gun. Rock, paper, and scissors could all probably still beat gun, but gun will never feel like a game is a lost cause.
