This list used to be competative, then it took a bolter shell in the knee*

Ok, its got slightly cheese options in their (Dual Rune Priests is considered something of a social taboo on dakka) but its also loaded down with the hammernators.... which given their points cost are far from optimal (Cant help it, spent a long time on these guys, proud of my work, had to include them) Tactics wise, depends on what I get as an opponent. If their low on shooting ill slam both priests with the hammernators in a pod and ram em down their throat and chuck that in turn 1. High on armoured vehicles/Shooting, ill drop the dread down first to do some tank busting. The grey hunters pull tripple duty, either objective capping, using the razorback to tank hunt, plasma/bolter fire storming any light/heavy infantry or in the case of the 5 man squad serving as my rune priests personal taxi cab.

Its been kinda deliberately under optimised as I know a few people just starting out. Still, keen to see what people think of it.

"Yes I know its an over used cliche....

Plasma pistol is not worth it, a plasma gun gives you range or multiple shots depending on range. You are not going to be charging those squads so invest in another man or a chooser of the slain. The laz/plaz is sub par at taking out real armour threats, the lazcannon can take stuff out but twin-linked almost guarentees a hit.

Your second rune priest needs to switch his powers, you can't have the same powers, sagas or wargear. I am not sure you should bother with sticking rune priests in cc ever, unless you are facing a daemon with I4 or less. They have few attacks and are build around shooting their psycic powers at the enemy.
You have jotww and living lightening, living lightening is for sniping all the way until you hit range for jotww.

I could imagine very similar being used in a BA list. In fact if you switched to BA you could drop the dread turn 1 and drop the terminators when they arrive from reserves.

My main question is what do you do with orks? Sure you can kill 6-10 boys a turn if they don't have a big mek, but they are still going to get to you and then it's all over.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.
