I think I've only fought against one once in all of my 7 years of 40k. Thus my ignorance:

When it has two shuriken cats, or two flamers or two Bright Lances, they're Twin-Linked, yes? That is, that last sentence in the entry refers to *all* and any of the armament it takes, not just the ones that can be nabbed in the last paragraph?

Nope. It comes with (on the arms) two shuricats, two flamers, or one of each. Those are always two separate weapons.

Then you buy it a heavy weapon on the shoulder mount. Then you have the option of a second heavy weapon, but if you select the same heavy weapon, instead of actually getting a second one you just twin-link the first. Yes, this is dumb. No one does this. If they want a shooty wraithlord they take two different heavy weapons.

^What he said.

ONLY the heavy weapons on the wraithlord become twin-linked if you buy two of the same.

The flamers or shuriken cats do not get twin-linked.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Good to know.

So, the usual 'shooty' WL would be ...

EML/BL for anti-tank fun?
A cat and a flamer for all around fun?

EML/BL for antitank, or Shuriken Cannon & Scatter Laser more often, because they're much cheaper and maintain the S6 spam which is one of the only things the codex is really good at.

Usually people don't bother with the cats unless that's how they modeled it. Double flamer is almost always better.

I believe you are tooling up a WL(s) to run against me in our escalation league . I no longer approve of this thread .

I almost never shoot with the arm weapons on my WLs. Inevitably, I kill the one model that the WL can assault.
