Urban Mammoth have released the first set of concept art for weapons from the upcoming Neo-Iskandrian faction for the Urban War Second Edition sci-fi skirmish rules.

Work progresses on creating new miniatures, background, art and fiction for the newest addition to the Urban War universe, the Neo-Iskandrians. This new army will be making their impact felt in the conflict for Iskandria and further afield hopefully by the end of the year. While work progresses we will be releasing art, 3D designs and more starting with concept art for some of the new Neo-Iskandrian weapons and powered armour.

Check out this site in the coming weeks for more previews and also don't forget to check out out Facebook and Google+ pages as well.

And some more concept art to check out

Urban Mammoth have released the second set of concept art for the upcoming Neo-Iskandrian faction for the Urban War Second Edition sci-fi skirmish rules. This latest preview features the powered armour suits that the Neo-Iskandrians will be equipping their troops with.

Wayne England's has created a design that is inspired not only by the standard science fiction designs but also has echoes of Macedonain elements to create a unique new style of powered armour for the Neo-Iskandrians. The circular attachment point on the back of the suit is where the Kairos Backpack attaches. All of the Neo-Iskandrian weapons and armour are powered by Kairos energy that the Neo-Iskandrians have discovered.

Stuff looks good.. except for the helmet. Im not a big fan of fancy crests. Right now it looks like all it will do is get caught on things hanging down. Plus is no use as a strike blocker since the single support would just slice down through the helm from a blow with any force. Like walking around with a cleaver on your head asking people to hit it real hard

Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
the band is playing somewhere and somewhere hearts are light, and somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout but there is no joy in Mudville — mighty Casey has struck out.

Not entirely sold on the crest either, but the rest of the concepts are ace!

The Helm and most of the body design seems to be a bit like the original Cylons from Battlestar Galactica.

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

Great concepts! The guns have a certain Ratchet and Clank vibe to them which I like. I have to agree with the others that the crest needn't be there, it seems to detract from the robotic appearance.

Cool stuff guys!

Iskandrian? Hmm... why do I keep hearing the theme to Star Blazers in my head when I read this?

Looks even better in 3D! The concepts remind me of a multitude of other sci-fi fighters while still being original in their own right.

Don't stop showing these previews, liking everything I have seem so far!

I think it all looks great in general, but the figure's arms are a touch short. Generally, people's hand/fingers reach around the middle of their thighs. Some are shorter, of course, but on average, they are that long. Since this figure is wearing armor, that may alter the proportions slightly, but I really think the arms need a slight increase in length.

Try it with your arms flexed slightly and pulled to the side. You wouldn't be able to put your arms straight down the side of your body when in a set of powered armour :-)

And more concept art from the talented drawing table of Wayne England. This time it is the Neo-Iskandrian Team Weapon. It is internally referred to as the HMG but like all of the Neo-Iskandrian weapons is it powered by a new energy source and is a beam/energy based weapon.

Next up are photos of the 3D model of our first Neo-Iskandrian trooper model

I like the look of the stuff you're putting out, especially the bladed weapon designs. Looking forward to seeing more.

I have to ask, though ... your sig describes Urban War as a 'sic-fi skirmish game'. Is this a typo or a new concept?

Neo-Iskandrian Close Combat Trooper model

The first 3D sculpt of a Neo-Iskandrian miniature has been finished. The Close Combat Trooper is armed with a power sword that also contains a lightweight version of the Carbine giving it an additional ranged firepower option at the expense of accuracy.

This trooper model, for the Urban War Second Edition sci-fi skirmish rules, is entirely created in 3D and will be sent to a 3D printer to create a resin master for mould making. This process will not only speed up the sculpting and creation of the miniatures but will also make it much easier to sculpt variant poses, new models and even accessories for existing figures.

Check out this site in the coming week for photos of more 3D models from the Neo-Iskandrian faction and also don't forget to check out out Facebook and https://plus.google.com/b/109661757031483459365/109661757031483459365/posts pages as well.
