Hey everyone I'm proud to say I have painted another ogre, for a grand total of two. This ones name (the one on the left) is Fist'm named after my Skyrim character who primarily uses unarmed combat, so I myself thought it was fitting...however vulgar the name is I love it haha.

In all, he probably took about 5 hours to paint, but it was pleasure thanks to netflix.

Im also fixing on painting my 3rd ogre who I have sculpted a chefs hat on when I first started working with green stuff. He should be ready tomorrow

Really nice blending and shading on the skin and cloth... makes me wonder why you have left the armour plates over the bellies so plain? Surely a nice deep bronze would look great on there?

Hey thankyou very much to be honest I dont like the gut plates too much myself, its a bit confusing finding good colors to use, since I'm still fairly inexperienced with using my new vallejo model color paint set. any help you guys could offer on how to improve the gut plates I would really appreciate it

I couldn't agree with you more, I dont know if it was because these are older models (from a couple years back) but they were just packed with insane mold-lines, and I can't help but miss a couple, no matter how much I try , but hey Im glad you were happy with everything else

The blue pants are a great compliment to all the earthy tones. Great looking minis!

Try experimenting with verdigris on the gutplates. It would add texture.

yea the first one (the standard bearer) was painted with GW paints but since I had gotten rid of those save for the washes, I've been using vallejo, since the set hadn't come with a dwarf flesh equivalent I had to go a different route, glad you enjoy it thank you very much

A mix of Hawk Turquoise, Skull White and Thraka Green (or equivelants) watered down works wonders.
