Hi Guys,

recently I read, Souldrinkers, actually the first Warhammer Novel of my life. It wasn't as bad as I suspected AND the Idea of a Chaos Space Marine Army grew in my head.

What directionteh Army will go is still up to the new Codex hopefully arriving in august but I already started to make a few Color tests.

It comes out a bit greenish in the pictures, its actually more of a bone colored tone. I'll try to improve that on the next pictures.

I'm was really surprised when I finished the first mini because this was the first time in my entire tabletop "career" that I didn't need to paint 5 minis just to get the right colors. :-)

But any suggestions are welcome of course

Wow, I love the colour scheme, what are you planning on buying for your Chaos army?

Not sure yet, as long as my Crimson Vultures are a fast army with lots of bikes and assault troops I tend to go the other way this time with more heavy support and cybots. still have to wait for the new csm dex that comes out with the next edition.
I still couldn't refuse to order some of these guys http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Images/Product/DefaultFW/xlarge/mkIIassault.jpg today :-)

Here is part two of the color test. I put a little more snakebite leather underneath and tried to use bronce instead of silver for the nails and bolts. I think silver gives a better contrast and I'm still not pleased with the eyes.

Hey Guys.
It took me a few days to finish the next one.

The new one (on the left) is painted with an brushed undercoat of Valejo extra opac Gold Brown and then brushed with bone white.
and altough I really liked the new color of the Armor I think it doesn't fit as well as the first one.

Your opinion ?

The new one looks a lot dirtier, especially the chest. Not sure if I like it.
