I've been toying around with the idea of some type of ork gunship, so using the ork warkopta as a base I made this!

Ork Battlekopta: 100pts
BS:2 F:11 S:10 R:10
Unit Type: Vehicle (Fast, Skimmer)
Wargear: Nose Mounted Deffgun, Two Wing Mounts with 2 Big Shootas each
Special Rules: Aerial Assault, Supa sonic, Fire Everythin'!

Each Big Shoota may be replace with:
Scorcha: Free
Rokkit Launcha: 5pts
Kustom Mega Blasta: 10pts

Each Wing Mount may replace both its Big Shootas with:
Kannon: 10pts
Twin Linked Deffgun: 10pts
Rattler Kannon: 10pts
Zapp Gun: 15pts

Both Wing Mounts may be replaced with:
Big Zzappa: 25pts
Rokkit Barraga: 30pts

The Nose Mounted Deffgun may be replaced with:
Twin Linked Big Shoota: Free
Twin Linked Scorcha: Free
Twin Linked Rokkit Launcha: 5pts
Rattler Kannon: 10pts

The Battlekopta may replace all of its weapons for:
*Giga Shoota: 50pts

May take any of the following:
Red Paint Job: 5pts
Grot Riggers: 5pts
Armour Plates: 10pts

Supa Sonic: This vehicle may move up to 36” when moving flat out. However roll a D6 before doing so. On a +2 the vehicle may move flat out. On a 1 something has gone wrong and the vehicle may only move up to cruising speed
Fire Everythin!: If the Battlekopta has not moved, in the shooting phrase it may shoot all of its weapons twice! However afterward roll a D6. On a +4 the Battlekopta has run out of ammunition and cannot fire the weapons again. Each subsequent time this is used, add a +1 to the result
*The Battlekopta losses Supa Sonic if it takes this option

Rokkit Barraga: Range 24" S8 AP3 Heavy 1, Large Blast
This weapons uses its full strength for armor penetration even if the center is not covering a vehicle

Battlekoptas may be taken as a fast attack choice in an ork army

Looks pretty funky.

I dont have my other Codices to hand, how does the basic chasis compare points wise to say a Vendetta, Razorwing etc?

I like fire everything but would change it to on a 4+ its run out of ammo and simply cant fire anymore. Having all weaps destroyed on an AV 11/10 vehicle means even one immoble and its gone which is a bit unfair?

Supasonic is pretty cool too, nicely Orky but not unbalanced.

He might mean the Supa Gattler and the Giga Shoota, they are Gargant weapons listed in the main Apoc rulebook.

Rattler kannon is from IA8, its a weapon the Warkopta can take (its basically a 2D6 shoota, on a double 1 the gun breaks)

Armor wise this gunship has much less armor than Imperium (who have 12), same front as necron (sans living armor, etc), and more than razorwing. Armet wise this thing is designed to be modular much like several other ork vehicles (battlewagon, big trakk, junka). It can bring a lot of firepower but it is very lightly armored (similar to the DE flyers)


I suppose. Although once all of its weapons are gone its pretty much a dead weight already!
