So, taking a break from painting boccage, I saw these two 6x6 cork tiles I had from a previous project and thought they could be put to better use.

Took some sheetrock mud spread it on, and used a bit of GW sprue to drag in some plowmarks. Sprinkled a bit of fine grain (sugar cookie sugar) talus on to give a bit of texture, primed and painted.

They match up nicely with my boccage given that they are all 6 inch to a side. Those are a couple of my Stumis with toothpick Improvised armor as BF didn't get off their lazy rears and make them before I finished. Literally I think it was two weeks from the last touch of paint to BFs Finnish Sturmis.

Anyway, not 100% sure how they will hold up. The backing is flexible and the mud isnt so I wouldn't be surprised with some breakage. I think when I do this again I iwll use liquid nails instead of mud as it has more give.

They look good, mind if I ask where you got the cork tiles from?

looks nice. Next time (if they don't hold up), I recommend doing it with painters caulk. It's flexible and cleans up with water.

"Because 6th edition is the ruleset that 40k fans deserve, but not the one they need right now... and so we'll argue over minutia... because GW can take it... because faqs and erratas require effort and money... they remain a silent rule maker, a neglectful protector... a Space Marine fanboy..."

Idea Stolen, good effort going to copy this lock stock and barrel.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

The tiles You used look vaguely similar to cork flooring tiles.

I believe I picked them up at OfficeDepot/Office Max.

They are 6x6 and I believe they had some 12x12 ones as well. Going to stop in this weekend and see if I can find some 12x12 to use as the basis for roads.
