Anyone know of a good modeling putty? Like green stuff but cheaper I guess, I hate to just sound cheep but I need like a bucket of it so cost begins to become an issue.

Greenstuff is pretty cheap - look for kneadatite on ebay.
Otherwise there's milliput, but it handles very differently.

Working properties outweigh expense, always. No point in scrimping on a material that won't do what you want.

I use apoxysculpt from www.avesstudio.com. Cheaper, holds detail , doesn't shrink, and has about the same working time. It isn't as resilient as greenstuff when it sets, but that shouldn't be a problem unless you are in the habit of roughly handling your models.

Kneadatite is Green Stuff but much cheaper than the GW badged version.

There are many epoxy two part putties available, with different characteristics for different purposes.

The Heresy Miniatures website has quite a good section.

There must be equivalents in the USA.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
