Inspired by a previous poll and by most of the discussions on here I was wondering where most people play 40k?

Personally I've only played a few times at my local GW and being the only member of our group with the room, my house is the main venue.

More than 7pts, less than 7000...just
4000+ 2500 2000+

A local Wargames Club.

I'd love to make room for a 40K table at home, but that's not going to happen any time soon.

Apologies for talking positively about games I enjoy.

I'd say my best games happen in homes for the most part. They tend to be the most lighthearted as they were.

That being said, I definitely play more at tournaments than in people's homes. Just the way it pans out with my group being somewhat spread out.

- Deathskullz - 6000 points
- Order of the Sacred Rose - 2000 points

Currently at my local GW but I have every intention of setting up a table in my garage.

It's just that I am awfully bad at making time to get this done.

No pity, no remorse, no shoes

Since we're just starting out and in the middle of nowhere, we typically play at home. No terrain either so we make it up. I have some nice stone coasters that work, but we usually devolve into stuff like the battle of the wine bottle.

Almost exclusively in garages and game rooms of houses. I have a large game room so typically people play at my place.

Home. For some reason the garage started getting overrun with crap instead of cars, so my brother and I cleaned it and planted our tables (ping pong table but it works pretty damn well for a board, and 2 painting areas) and it is now our nerd-den. Gets freaking hot during the day though

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Should be a Vassal choice. But I guess that could count as home.

Local club. Both of them (one is weekly, one is monthly).

Playing in a store feels unnatural.

Playing with beer accessible feels a lot better - and you typically don't care as much about winning and losing.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I play at home...most people that go to the FLGS play Warmachine/Hordes now, so the remaining 40k players come over to my apartment.

And if you're drinkin' well, you know that you're my friend and I say "I think I'll have myself a beer"

My friend and I go to all of those but we mostly stay at our house unless we want to buy something.

Bit of both at my FLGS and in my house. I game with two separate groups on a regular basis - a weekly league at my FLGS, and a weekly get-together with a couple other more casual buddies who play.

Even though I have a GW and a newly opened Gaming store in my hometown I've never been drawn into playing at either. Mainly because the GW only has two tables which are both 4 x 4 and the whole store just feels so cramped.....and they don't let you drink beer while playing
