This is mostly for Dr. Cheesesteak, but I figured I'd get the publics opinion on it as well.
I did 3 base colors with a wash of Devlan Mud.

So which color of these three do you prefer?

First up is Vermin Brown:



Second is Calthan Brown:



And third is Dark Flesh:

I'm torn between the vermin brown and the dark flesh. Both look good.
The vermin brown reminds me of the GW studio army from a few years ago, while the dark flesh ones are similar to some very dark-skinned beastmen that I painted way, way back.

Why does it have to be just one? Use all 3 for some variation. No race will have identical skin tones. When painting humans, it's just easier to paint them all the same. With as much skin as Beastman models show, it's a nice overall look on the table to have it broken up.

I do this with my orks, and it goes a long way to help make them look less like a uniformed army, and more like a hoard.

I'd say I like Calthan the best of the three, but would also urge variety if these are test models for a large unit or entire army.
