Subject: Looking into blood angels! advice please!
I used to play blood angels what seems like a lifetime ago. While my 40k army current focus is grey knights I am looking to get them done as a commission rather then my own work, so I'm kind of looking for something 40k'ish to get my hands dirty with. The only thing is I'm a bit behind on 40k lists really so I've made a very first for 5th ed thats not Grey knights.
So far I have this setup

The idea really, like my GK is themed to paladins only, and close combat at that. I wanted to keep that close combat feel but instead of relying on stormravens to get to the objective I tried to make a list combining bikes & Jump packs to reach an objective with a dropped in dreadnought for the DC dread.
Thoughts? Advice? Criticisms? anything that stands out in this list as decent? xD how would you deal with it?
Hmm think your right, the difference of only having 2 fists compared to the rest is actually alot of points
Bikers aren't too bad, the attack bikes multi melta, 2 of the 3 in the squad can have meltas and so can the sergeant, I guess I will just need to divi them up into seperate units to maximise the meltas.

I'd drop a DC Marine and the HF from the DC Dread to get some special weapons into the Assault Squad. Melta, Flamer, whatever, just don't take a mix, take two of the same thing.

I had been thinking about that odd dc marine to be honest. I think I will probably give one assault group flamers and the other two meltas. I know how alot of lists seem to enjoy there vehicles nowdays, while the bikes should prove to be superb at destroying tanks It's probably a good idea to make my assault marines better armed.

I took out 1 DC marine, the magna grapple and flamer from the dread make it purely close combat and given 2 flamers, and 4 meltas divided between the assault marines.

Thanks, me too! I'm hoping if / when I go through with getting the stuff for this list I'll be doing alot of conversions with it, as much as possible i.e Jumping bikes! and such. So I really did want them to be in there, that and I never really see bikes outside of a deathwing army and I like them.. but I didn't want to use deathwing so eh.
