I'd pick up a melee screen for your force, and some more shooty power

something like x5 Wraiths, 3 whip coils

possibily fill out that warrior squad to 20, throw in a res orb lord, sit on objective, and be impossible to move.
Might as well grab another orb lord with warscythe, and throw him in with the Eternals

I would also recommend at least one more annihilation barge.

are you going to rely on scarabs to take care of anti-vehicle duties? If so, you may wish to grab another squad of them.

I believe that you could do all these things with the points you have left, give or take a model or two (no codex on hand atm)

Remember, since you have a teammate, try to get some synergy between your armies. Do you know who your partner is already, or is that assigned at the tournament?

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum.

The thing is i would round them warriors out but i don't have enough.
But I can do pretty much the bulk of what you said minus the extra scarabs and warriors and am 5 points under.

As for my partner he is an Eldar player. He likes using Dark Reapers and he's been loving his new Harlequins and Death Jester so he's probably going to use them. He might also pop his Fire Dragons in a Wave Serpent.

With the dark reapers, you wanna get into melee with them, usually after popping the wave serpent they are hiding in.

I'd almost suggest heavy destroyers for some mobile long ranged firepower, but you are at about capacity points-wise, and they are rather expensive.

Why three res orb lords? you only have two squads they can attach to. Just a typo? Otherwise you could drop one, grab more scarabs, or something else you care to take?

No it's three squads of troops. 2 troops of 10 warriors and the immortals. Or am I investing too many points in that area?

Ah, missed the one.
I wouldn't say that is too many points, you'll have a strong backbone of troops to draw upon to hold objectives. You can also glance vehicles to death with them in a last-ditch effort if need be.

I am assuming you are set upon taking the doomsday arc?

Oh yeah I'm taking the Doomsday Ark. I find it to be quite useful.

Fair enough. I think you are probably set then, just take care of the doomsday arc, and you'll have a lot of firepower to throw around the table. Good luck sir.
