Hey DakkaDakkaDakkaDAKKA.

So yeah, me again, asking questions about Witch Hunters?

SHOCKING RIGHT?

Anyway, down to business.

In the Codex, you can take a squad of Celstians as a HQ choice for your Canoness which can be upgraded as normal. Which means you can take two heavy weapons (in my case a Heavy Flamer and Stormbolter), a Sacred Standard and one of them can be upgraded to a character and take anything from the armoury (Still haven't decided what I'll take on her).

Now, it says in the HQ section you can take 0-5 Priests and they don't count at HQ allowance but have to be attached to other squads. One of the options is a Celestian Squad.

So, you can see where this is going. I can't see it stated anywhere that the Priest can't be attached to the same unit as the Canoness but then again, I can't see it stated that he can.
I mean, one Priest per army can even be given a Plasma Gun for +15 points.

That'd mean the Celestians would be armed with 3 Special Weapons, a Sacred Banner and three characters.

So, what's the verdict?

(Yes, I am fully aware that the Witch Hunters Codex has been replaced with that horrific SoB White Dwarf Codex so don't bother telling me the obvious because that SoB Codex thing SUUUUUUUUCKS >_&gt

It is perfectly fine - you attach him to the celestians. An ic can then join the unit, just fine.

You have permission for each to join the unit, and nothing denying the combination
