Hey I'm thinking about buying this model from an online auction site (it's a forge world resin model)

But I'm worried about how to paint it. Can you take apart a resin model without damage it?

Completely unpredictable. If it was superglued together, then the superglue will _probably_ break before the resin, but no guarantees. Even more unpredictable if it was epoxy-resin glued.

The good news is that ork models let you hide an awful lot of mistakes with rust and mud

It is most likely put together with superglue. Get some fingernail polish remover and apply it ONLY to the glue (as much as possible anyway) and you should be able to get it apart without harming the resin. Otherwise you'll need to soak it in something like Simple Green (Fairy Power or whatever the EU counterpart is).
