Thanks guys, glad you like them may start up a plog on here.
@barksdale
glad you like the armour, i always get worried that its too dark compared to the gw painting style but i prefer it personally

@mrmerlin & HelSinG

Thanks guys quite pleased with the faces always been something (i think) i'm good at painting
with regards to tips for painting faces a very very fine brush always helps but it's just about gradual highlights, i do mine with a base of tallarn flesh washed with ogryn, then heavy highlight of dwarf flesh just leaving deepest recesses usually around around mouth, nose etc then i just keep adding a little bit of bleached bone to dwarf and highlighting as i go until i reach a shade i'm pleased with if i start a plog i may do a tutorial of how i do it

Amazing work. I wish I could paint like that but I can't and that is why I went with an Ultramarine army. =D

@peebs

Thank you very much I'll gradually post more as i paint hopefully

@dysartes
if i remember correctly was a base of mechrite red washed with devlin to pick out the recesses, then gradually added blazing orange and dry brush over getting lighter as i got to the the centre, then the final highlight was blazing orange with a touch of iyanden to make it super bright in the bits that stick out most sounds harder than it is but most of my painting is just adding a lighter colour to a darker one bit by bit till you reach the colour your after hope that helps

@synister

Thanks it is just practicing i used to paint really badly thick paint single colours, once you pick up a couple of good techniques you're set really, i to have an ultramarines army bit more speed painted than my SW

I've always wanted to do a SW army but could never get them painted right, maybe after I finish painting up my Ultramarines I might pick up some SW and give it another go.
