Hi,
just completed a Flames of War 8.8cm FLAK36 platoon plus transports.

I painted these as a tester for a Hermann Goring Division commission that I might be painting up soon.

They are painted up as a Luftwaffe crew.

Well enough of my waffle and on to the pics.

You can see more pictures on my Wargames and Painting Blog.

All comments, good or bad, welcome.

Thanks for looking

Nice work!
Good paintjob, and I like the fortifications on the 88's bases.

I really like the emplaced 88s - especially the bases. The transports look a bit rushed - for instance, the black wash/shading in the wheels is very rough. But it's a great looking unit.

Nice job. I have the other 88 bases that go length ways. I like the ones you posted much better.

88s have turntable so the base direction is really a decision of personal taste.

Are the modelled bases scratch built or are they purchased?

That particular set comes with those bases, although the command team just comes with a standard command base.

They are really cool and the guns are fully posable with the addition of a magnet to the bottom of the gun(which is fully traversable if you don't glue it) the only thing that gets in the way are the figures.

I love mine to death, unfortunantly they have yet to survive a game as people say "OMG! 88s, must kill!"

Very nice work! I like them a lot. However I'm a bit unsure of exactly what I am looking at here, are these Afrika Korps or late war? I say Afrka cause they have the tan helmets, but hten there is a guy with the later war camo on his own.

Nice job. I'm jealous of your Horch command car since the mold on mine was absolutely horrendous condition.

I love these -- I have a platoon to paint myself. Great work!

Lovely... Stunners.

My only comment would be if you do HG then they should really have SS smocks on, though some HG Grenadiers did wear a tunic cut from splinter pattern, but the SS smocks and helmet covers were more common mid-war.

The blue uniforms look rather good though. I think HG troops also wore plain tan uniforms, at least in 1943.
