Hello everyone. I have just had a chance to look over the Chaos Dwarf list in the Tamurkhan Frogeworld book and have to say I am very interested in getting an army of these guys, I would even be willing to pay the money in order to get them. However I have a few questions that if anyone could answer I would appreciate it:

-Could I play with these guys in a GW sponsored tournament such as Ard Boyz?

-Are there any regular Chaos Dwarf models with blunderbusses and such? (AKA besides the models on Forgeworld)

These and anything else you guys could tell me about them would be appreciated, thanks guys!

The Tamurkhan book is a fully legal, endorsed and supported GW army book- there's a sentence in there somewhere with words to that effect. So, there's no reason that you couldn't use them in a GW event, although Indy TOs of course retain the right to refuse entry to anything they don't want in.

As far as I know the only GW CD models are the Forgeworld ones. However, Mantic Games do a fantastic Abyssal Dwarfs range at very affordable prices, but of course you won't be able to use these in GW events/stores.

I do want to use this in a GW tournament so I will just make do with the forgeworld ones, any idea where the sentence may be in the book? Just want to know for sure so I can take it, and on that note if it is endorsed and supported by GW does that mean that an Indy tournament couldnt say I couldnt take it because GW says its okay? Just want to know for sure

My local scene is not allowing it because of the price tag of the book. But get a Kdia Destroyer and just steamroll people

So even if someone spends their money to get the book you cant use it? How does that make sense? And thats good to know, do you run Chaos Dwarfs or is this just from play testing?

Because in tournament play it helps to know your opponents book and I for one do not want to shell out the cash just so I know how to deal with CD.

And it is from reading battle reports and playing the book once or twice.

Because people don't know the rules because the book is very expensive and uncommon.

CD aren't the greatest army or anything. They are basically Dwarfs with expanded ranged weapons, sorcerers, sucky MI, and elite war machines. I just wonder if the BRB rules for bonuses to dispel and such works on CD.

Kdai destroyers are basically a big monster at normal monster cost and abilities. The difference is they have a good ward save. It's basically like a better Bloodthirster for cheaper. Though it (and the smaller versions) do have a chance to injure, but for the destroyer it's just 1 in 6.

They would not get the dispel rule because unlike the standard dwarves, they actually use Magic, it's why their sorcerers turn to stone, and why they don't have dispel bonuses.

Though they have one Overpowered spell on par with those big uber OP spells out now. Ashes of something that just breaks the enemies like paper. Though it can only be taken on the level 4 sorcerer and he is EXPENSIVE. (But so worth it)
