Well with a few trukks and a BW you could have a speedy army (nobz and warboss in BW, boyz in trukks, deffkoptas as fast support along with stormboyz), or something like that? Would that kind of army interest you? If you'd rather go in the direction of a kan heavy list, then I guess you have a bit more to buy. But you could do a speedy army pretty quick, and using Ebay not too expensively.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own... |

i am looking at a speedy army with a few trucks and stuff, i would look at a battlewagon but they are too expensive to buy, i think i will gather a few trukks and use your advise.
Thanks

it is a fairly solid list the only problem i see with it IMHO is the big shootas in your mob of 30 boyz them being heavy weapons you wont be able to shoot them while slogging acrossed the field and with BS 2 you wont want to skip a movement phase to pop off 9 str 5 shots. other than that the trukks are a good idea. also if you ware worried about the price of a Battlewagon either ebay or just straight convertin =] all you need is some plasticard, holes, and rivets and boom, orky enough.

Big shootas are assault weapons, not heavy. They will be keeping pace with your ladz as they march across the table. For what you have, a green tide with kopters harassing the flank is about the only option because you lack transport. Hold the grots in the back field for your objectives, march the sluggas across with the kan and dread providing support. For the list you have, here is the order I would buy in: 1)More boyz. Shoota or slugga, it really doesn't matter to much. Slugga boyz are cheap if you get them from AoBR but if you buy the boyz box, make them into shootas. 2)Transport. Trukks are awesome but you need to field 3 or so for them to get across the field. Luckily, anything will do for a trukk, so if you can get your hands on a rhino, just throw some bitz on it and a bit of red paint. Check ebay for that. 3)Meganobs. Buy a box of terminators of any flavor, get some nob parts into it, and you now have a cheaper alternative to the stupidly expensive metal MANz. They are slow, so they need transport. 4)More killa kans. Grotzookas are awesome, stay away from skorchas-no need to waste the best shooting skill in your army for autohits. After this point, start expanding in units that you want to try or that pique your interest. Stormboyz are hilarious if unreliable, tankbustas are really cool models but expensive, and grots are grots. -cgmckenzie

thanks for the correction CG i dont really run big shootas except on my trukks and didnt have a codex on hand so im not that familiar with them. i also agree with CG on killa kans except on the flamer bit. yes it is the best BS but it is still only BS 3.
