I know I'd have to buy either the IG codex or the Imperial Armour book.  [RSS] Share on facebook Share on Twitter Submit to Reddit

They shouldn't.

But KNF mentions the Fellblade....

OtoH you don't need a SHV as a chapter specific vehicle, those heavies are not part of standard 40k outside the Spearhead expansion or Apoc and Apoc puts them into a group of the whole IoM and thus it doesn't matter if your Baneblade is a SM one or a IG vehicle.

We were wrong. It's not the 40k End Times. It's the Trademarkening.

Rules for the Baneblade are in the Apocalypse expansion, not the IG codex. 1hadhq has it on the money though, in Apocalypse games you're not using an FOC and can mix and match freely, so juts do whatever you want.

Also, SM have a special Land Raider in Apocalypse that has like 50 gazillion lascannons on it. Not as good as a Baneblade, if you're looking for a SM super tank, that's as close as you're gonna get. Then again, as the other posters have stated, you can slip a Baneblade in a SM army anyway.
