For those of you whom never played Shadowbane, keep an eye on this; This is the game that made "Go somewhere, see someone you don't like, kill them" popular in the MMO franchise. The graphics are obviously dated, but let me give you some good things about this game:

1) It's not being run officially; that means it HAS to be F2P otherwise they get sued.
2) Almost every class, save one, is one hundred percent viable. The only one that isn't is the Warrior, simply because everything he does, someone else does better.
3) You want to be a Half Giant Sentinal hitting people with a hammer? You can do that. You want to explode everything around you in a holy inferno? You can do that. Want to be a dagger thrower whom never runs out of knives or stamina, so can throw them constantly? Check. Any build is one hundred percent viable once you figure out how to build it.

If they remake the game faithfully to when Ubisoft had it, everyone owes it to themselves to download it and get at least one character to level 40, because that's when the PVP starts.

Shadowbane ruined PvP for everyone else; nothing compares to it even still.

If you practice, you can max a character in a day then spend your time actually playing.

Also, Dagger-Scouts rule.
That is all.

Personally, I loved the Mage Channeler; so much power, so much death, so hard to kill (if you knew which Armor to keep up).

I honestly never even had to max my characters, would always start the PVP with them at level 40. Yeah, I was disadvantaged, but that just made killing a 75 sweeter.

And to everyone else; Shadowbane isn't the be all end all PVP, but it is one of the best I've played. Seriously, give it a try.

This game still instigates regular conversations with the folks I played it with.

I actually met someone at work that I fought against for a long time.
It was only the second time I have met someone who tells me a story about my own game character outside of a game.

I remember being happy that my character's death list was never filled, but I had a list of over 100 people that I was asked to kill - and every name is crossed off.
