on the forum. Obviously

Dispersion shields. Sure warscythes may be better at killing vehicles...but good luck having them survive to get close enough to use them.

I agree, the dispersion shields, when combined with a res orb, makes these otherwise tough units extremely tough.
I mean, you combine, toughness 5, 3+ armor, 4+ Invuln, and 4+ RP, and that is a tough unit to take down statistically.

Also, the Hyperphase swords are STILL power weapons, and lychguard are strength 5, they wound often, and murder anything without invuln saves, like MEQ

Just don't make the mistake of assuming the dispersion shields will reflect everything. They only reflect whatever beats their armour save.

Why not do 2 squads of five and run them close to each other? That way you have the shields and the scythes. Not quite the same effect, but could work.

Or if you absolutely want the shields, throw a lord in with a scythe and a res orb for extra survivability.

this might change once more people start using the nightscythe trasnport (when they come out) as Lychguard can take it as a transport.

Except that the Night Scythe transport is the worst transport in the game.
Costs alot, low armour, and if it gets shot down you lose whats inside and put them in reserve.

So if you fill up a Night Scythe transport with Lychguard with whatever equipment, they will be focused by the enemy.
It will be killed in turn 1 or 2, and your Lychguards will pop out as reserves in your deployment zone by turn 3-4.
Why not just save 100p and reserve them as normal and have a chanse of getting them at turn 2.

Yeah, but they will still get the crap shot out of them before they could attack. They will just be a bit closer.
