I'm looking to build a viable Necron list, but I realize most of what I own isn't very useful under the new codex. Here are my models:

Deceiver
Destroyer Lord
Limited Edition Lord
30 Necron Warriors
15 Destroyers
14 Scarabs
9 Heavy Destroyers
2 Monoliths

I'm ok with putting money into the army to make a cool list under the new Codex. I believe my Destroyers will need to stay in their box for a while. Currently, I'm thinking of this as the basis for a list:

Necrons - 2000
Overlord - Warscythe, Command Barge
Overlord - Warscythe, Command Barge
Royal Court - 1 Cryptek with Eldritch Lance & Solar Pulse, 2 Crypteks with Eldritch Lances
Royal Court - 1 Cryptek with Eldritch Lance & Solar Pulse, 2 Crypteks with Eldritch Lances
5 Warriors
5 Warriors
5 Warriors
4 Scarabs
4 Scarabs
4 Scarabs
Annihilation Barge
Annihilation Barge
Annihilation Barge
Total - 1255

As you can see, I have 745 points to spare. I'm thinking I need more Troops.

Suggestions?

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

I would combine the scarabs into two larger swarms
the HQ/Courts look fine
I would definitely buff up your warriors, leave two squads small, just to hold objectives, and buff one squad of warriors up to 15-20 .get a regular lord with a scythe, MSS and a res orb, place in the large squad of warriors

If you don't wish to buy more models, you could still use the destroyers.

Lychguard are also a strong melee screen, that work well as a counter-charge unit. Absolutely tear through MEQs.
Good luck!

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum.
