Hey guys,

My normal army has a few units which mount up in vendettas (2 vets and a CCS), would it look out of place on the board for me to have these blokes as elysian models, and my other vet squad (with harker) be regular kinda guardsmen (probably with elysian weapons, so it fits together better). Or would it look like too fragmented of a force, with different models all over the place. What do you think?

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Imperial guard is mix and match mate, so you can scramble as many units as you want. In the, there all guards !

In the codex they even mention a famous joint regiment, mixing Elysians and Catachan survivors from 2 regiments, that ended up becoming some bad ass airborne jungle warfare force.

So nah, it's fine to mix.

Go for it Its only reasonable that the people airdropping in would wear gear appropriate for it.

How the force looks depends more on your paintjob and modelling. If you've got a cohesive scheme with a few bold traits that are shared across the army, then any models you mix in will be fine. Basing is really important in this regard.

"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, when ever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"

It's perfectly acceptable, and should look good! My IG army is a mix of Cadians, Catachans, and Steel Legion and it looks great on the tabletop. You'll be fine using Elysians for airborne vets.
