Was taking a look at the paint job on the Hellcannon re-release and realized the thing finally has a base size. A 100x150 mm base size. Yowza!
They're really obsessed with those big bases now. Seems like some serious overkill, and a fair amount of the base is just room to align the handlers in a scenic manner. This causing problems for any of those with already built cannons?

I think the huge base is kinda cool. Makes the cannons more intimidating IMO. No way that the crew and cannon could fit on a chariot base anyway, so that is the next size up.
I just put together 2 finecast ones for my new WoC army, but if I played someone with old metal ones and no base, I wouldn't care, even in a tournament. Book says to use whatever base came with the kit, and they didn't get a base, so they technically aren't breaking any rules.

I personally prefer 50x50, but as scubasteve04 said, I'm cool with whatever they're on.

This is great  I am stoked the. I have 2 built and Im going to be making bases for both of them asap. The large base has its ups and down.
More of a target for cannons. But as said can also protect your flanks well as.

I'm glad the thing is finally on a base at all, and considering it's a monster I'm glad it's on a decent sized base.
Now for the rest of the war machines to get bases...
