Say I have a court of 3 lord on one model, say a Carnifex or even a lone sm sergeant. Would he have to pass 3 Ld checks on 3d6 and deal d3 hits on himself/squad apiece, or just once and the others are ignored?

I believe the consensus is you take the 3 tests on 3D6. If you fail 1 or more then you suffer the effects, as you can only swap out your normal attacks once.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

dammit hj, you ninja...
I was under the impression that you took the leadership test and, if failed, replaced your attacks with D3 hits directed at yourself. And if you have already replaced your attacks once, you have nothing left to replace.
That would mean that if you passed the leadership test of the first MSS, you would then test for the second, and if you passed that, then the third. However, if you failed the first one, you would do your D3 hits and then not test for 2nd or 3rd one. Thats just what I take out of it.

Aye, what I thought. Alot of fellow Necron players are assuming it allows an absurd amount of attacks from one guy.
ANother funny thing is Kharn on mindshackle scarabs we tried to work out. Would rolling a 1 on his D3 cause him to attack another member. also he'd hit 2+ on himself, ouch

The D3 Attacks auto hit, you just roll to wound and let your unit take any saves it might be able to do. Learned that this weekend and also learned that Minshackle Scarabs are now automatic equipment for my lords, they just work that well!
