Now, this can be generally applied to any army, but in my case, I will be using Necron Warriors.
The Scenario
I have 36 warriors I can deploy, for sake of simplification, lets assume points don't matter, and I want to field them all.

In your opinion, what is the best way to break the warriors into squads?
x2 12 man squads
x2 6 man squads

x2 13 man squads
x2 5 man squads

x4 9 man squads

x6 6 man squads

x1 20 man squad
x2 8 man squads

Something else crazy?
Just curious what everyone's opinion is on it.

Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum.

Just a generic opinion:

If you're taking the warriors in ghost arks, then I would suggest the 4 x 9 warriors set up. If you're going on foot, I would suggest the bigger the block of warriors the better.

That would make sense of course, also makes room for a lord/ tek in each squad.
As far as on foot goes. Think the 20 blob is the best bet?

For me, I would say yes. The blob of 20 can take a lot of punishment. Great survivability with reanimation protocols, and with so many there is a damn good chance you'll be always getting them unless you take a savage amount of shooting.
