im new to necrons and would like some advice on how to get the most out of the models i have.
what i have
27 warriors
5 immortals- Tesla
5 cryptek
1 lord
1 c'tan
1 ghost ark
18 scarabs
1 body and alot of bits for conversion
i was thinking about running two large bricks of warriors with a ghost ark filled with lance teks and three units of six scarabs then the immortals ctan and lord fill up the rest of the points.

That's basically all you can do. Maybe run some of the crypteks as something other than lanceteks and spread them around instead of together in a bang bus. 5 lance shots all being forced to hit the same thing is pretty inefficient as you often just need the 1 shot to pop a low av transport or instant kill a t4 model or take off a MCs last wound or any of the things lances are good at. You have more than enough scarabs to deal with really high armor vehicles, you shouldn't ever be plinging a half dozen lance shots into a battle wagon's front armor when you could be hitting 3 different trukks instead.
Try splitting the warriors into 20 and 7 instead of an even split, put a lance in the 7 warriors and another in the 5 immortals, put a stormtek with lightning field or a tremortek with crucible or a despairtek with veil and your lord as a phaeron in the 20 man brick, and run the last 2 teks as their own royal court lance unit in the ark. Now you can spread the lance shots around 4 targets when you need to and the brick is better defended from assault and all your scoring units have an ever-living back up to help make sure they stay around and capping objectives even when they get massacred.

Is that a Lord or an Overlord? I ask because, if it's not an Overlord then you don't have a valid army. No HQ. You may need to use that body and spare parts to make an Overlord, or count the Lord as an Overlord. I agree with Actinium. Definitely split up your Laceteks into different squads of Warriors if you can.

Just FYI, Lanceteks are obscenely useful by themselves. I've wreck many a vehicle with them (even though they were DE vehicles and my opponent was rolling like gak one of the games). Next game I'm playing I'm taking two RC's of them (and a Veiltek for DS shenanigans) and the weak-yet-strangely-good Triarch Praetorians.

I find the best base for a Necron army is 5 minimum squads of warriors, each having the full complement of 2 HoD's with lances in each. It's 675 points, but you have 5 scoring units and can shoot at 5 different targets, all while protecting your lances from getting singled out. The 36" range protects you from assault for the most part. Outflanking genestealers and drop pod lists are a pain; but every army has bad match ups. At 2k, I run a Wraithwing army, so it's the 25 warriors + 10 HoD's here, with 2 pimped CCB overlords, 15 Wraiths and 3 Anni Barges. Pwns.
You can scale up to something like that; but if you can manage to convert 5 more crypteks (or just play with 1 cryptek per squad) you can do the troops portion of that build.
