Box of warriors £18
2 x Venom @ £18.50 = £37
Haemonculus £10.50
say £3.50 to get another blaster from ebay means £69 gives you an HQ and two five man warrior squads in dedicated transports which you could run as:
Haemonculus with liquifier and shattershard = 75pts
5 warriors plus blaster in venom with extra splinter cannon plus grisly trophies at 130 points each.
So £56 remains.
2 ravagers are £62 but assuming you get a little discount then you can add two of them at 115 points each with a flickerfield.
So roughly 565 points comprising HQ, 2 troops with transports and 2 heavy supports. 8 lances and 8 splinter weapons.
With more ebaying and a 20% discount on anything new you might squeeze in a raider and 10 wyches which would bring you to 750 points, or possibly with some converting or proxying for the trueborn, another venom with 4 trueborn with blasters instead.

Follow these two simple rules to ensure a happy Dakka experience:
Rule 1 - to be a proper 40K player you must cry whenever a new edition of the game is released, and always call opposing armies broken when you don't win.
Rule 2 - Games Workshop are always wrong and have been heading for bankrupcy within 5 years since the early 90s. |

I'm not sure really.
You get 10 kabalites, 10 wyches, 3 bikes and a raider.
Suppose you got two for £120 and added a haemoculus as an HQ.
You could field
haemoculus, shattershard, liquifier: 50 - 75pts
9 wyches: hekatrix with agoniser - 120
raider with flickerfield - 70
10 wyches: hekatrix with agoniser- 130
raider with flickerfield - 70
6 reavers: arena champion, 2 heat lances - 166
10 kabalites: sybarite, dark lance, blaster - 140
10 kabalites: sybarite, dark lance, blaster - 140
911 points
but your kabalites have no mobility. I've not played as Dark Elader much but I have played against them a few times and the reavers are good in 6s, I think but not so much in 3s. that's why I'd say 2 boxed sets. Though the next things to buy would be ravagers and some venoms, I think.
I am pretty sure though that once you push to 1250 points and above the first things on your 'teamsheet' are 3xravagers with flickerfields. It also seems to me that unless you want to run wyches, venoms and 5 man kabalite/trueborn squads are better value than raiders and 10 man squads.

Dude buy a battle force and a box of kabalite warriors, then use the second box to build them as true born. Buy a Lelith and you're laughing

your best bet is to get the battle force and sell the bikes for another raider then pick up a ravager, 1 haemonculous and a box of warriors (convert the shredder into a blaster and beg/borrow/steel other blasters) along with 2 venoms. this'll give you: a hammy 1 unit of warriors in a raider and 1 unit of wych's in a raider (hammy goes in here) 2 trueblaster squads in venoms 1 ravager for fire support also, shop around on ebay or go to buyforless.com for a pretty good discount

You had the right idea up until you mentioned Lelith. Loved the model, used it in many games, now sits on the shelf because quite frankly "her" performance has been less than stellar.
Back to the regularly scheduled program: Yes, get the battle force. You will use every model in that box. Pretty much the only thing to add are a couple of venoms, a ravager and a Haemi.
Some people may not like the bikes, I love them. They are excellent for contesting objectives late in the game.

Thing is, we basically have 2 armies that will require quite different models. WWP and mech spam.
Use the existing armies to proxy for the DE until you know what you like. After that it can be costed.
- Raiders can be converted to ravagers
- Blasters can be converted from a bunch of other stuff, unused disintegrators for 1.
I would venture to say that it will cost more than your current budget unless you play small games.
Hence, answer to question in OP, no you can't unless you get a crazy 2nd hand deal. Whether the battle force is a good deal or not depends on your desired list. The bikes can be yes or no, and you dont get enough for the MSU model 6 with 2 heat lances.
