G'day gents! Made an Ares a few years ago and loved it (just put some pics in the showcase forum) so when I got my hands on a LR in pieces (having been ripped appart) I thought that I might as well convert the heck out of it since it was already beat up! (And I am a bit of a nut when it comes to converting).

The theme of my other ares is Redemption) , lots of skulls and fire (purgatory). So I went with the other side of the coin for this one, Salvation! You're still going to get shot with a huge cannon, but one path leads to sitting at the emperor side, the other at spending a few turns of eternety in the warp.
So for this tank I wanted a more holy exerience, so went with a church theme.

As you can see it's still very much a work in progress, I will order a upgrade pack from GW for the sponsons ( I plan on using the redeemer flamestorm cannons ), I will also be adding some details to the roof (like on the Redemption) ) and a banner over the cannon.

C&C greatly appreciated everyone!
Cheers!

I hate to be "that guy", because this is absolutely fantastic, but I have to say that perhaps the Dozer Blade is a bit too wide.

However, it's your model, and regardless of my personal preference the gs work is fantastic, I really get the "gothic cathedral-y" feel and I think it works great.

The gate at the front of the plow makes me think:
Knock, knock.... BLAAAAAMMMMM
I love the execution of the mini. It really reflects the gothic theme of 40k. Nice GS work, btw.

I think you have done a stunning job with all the details which for me cancels out any ideas of the front being too wide The wings on the front are amazingly done aswell, and you have definatly achieved the theme you set out for Brilliant job all round.

Great piece of modelling all round. The details are ace. It almost looks like the land raider has picked up a bit of cathedral on its way through to purge the heretics!

Perfect for the 40k universe, with a little bit of John Blanche OTT.

Looking forward to the painted version.

It does look cool, and I'd love to see more on how you did the cannon, but I really can't get over the rather, well, over-the-top dozed blade...
