Any degreaser dish soap will work like Dawn. Fill up a bowl or bucket with warm water, add a bit of soap and scrub away.

When I scrub resin there are some shinny spots near crevices,
no matter how much i scrub with soap and tooth brush its still shinny.

Is that release agent or?

Any resin that cures in contact with air will be shiny. Just look inside any finecast bubble. Shiny. All of the undersides of my resin bases are that way. The only way to remove the shine would be to use sandpaper or an engraving bit to scuff it up.

Dawn. Anything that cuts grease.

Simple green is overkill but also works. if you have it for stripping, it can't hurt.

Anyone have a good reference for working with the resin? "Beginners giude" or something?

I'm cool with the models, but would like to try a hand at casting some stuff ( building walls, and boxes)

This thread has a wealth of information on dealing with resin and silicone rubber mold making.

Toothpolish is also good for removing stubborn spots of mould release.

It's a very fine abrasive that will just etch the surface enough to remove the shine (just like silver and brass 'polish' are also fine abrasives).

A small amount on a toothbrush (match head sized), lots of water and circles - just like on your teeth.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
