Recently I just looked over at the GW website and in their latest article they are talking about the new 145 paints that are avaible to be pre ordered. What are you opinions on this? Is it all a waste of money or do you think the new paint range they are bringing out will in fact help new and current painters with their minitaures?

Thirty. Six. Pages. However! I don't really mind. Especially since I mostly paint with p3 and Vallejo. Any GW paints I have are leftovers from previous purchases.

I don't mind having more choices in color. That's always a good thing.
What I am pissed about is how I have to relearn all the main colors for no reason after 15 years of painting. Plus, most of them are horrible, clunky names (some of which are three words long for a simple color!) to remember. I swear to god, when I get any of the new GW colors that coincide with the old ones, I will buy some empty dropper bottles to put them in and label them the same as the old colors, just for my ease of use.

Yes, the extra paint choices is always welcome in my opinion, but having changed the names is a pain in the ass.
Im kind of looking though the list now trying to figure out which paints they have now are the same as the old ones, just renamed... Any one have an idea of what Ultramarines Blue and Boltgun Metal are now called? :/

There is a conversion chart on the GW site under the paints in the hobby section.
Boltgun Metal is turning to "Leadbelcher".
Ultramarines Blue is "Altdorf Guard Blue". Yeah, that just rolls off the tongue...............

Honestly, I am just glad that they didn't drop anything. Khemri Brown, which I swore no one bought but is the base coat for my ENTIRE BA army, is still there, thank god.
