Hey all!

About two weeks ago me and some guys from my local GW started a WFB campaign.
I decided to go for a fluffly, Slaanesh themed army and began gathering bits to make my general.

To make a short story long: my eye fell on this model, because of the cool texture on the armour.
I was still in doubt till a friend of mine said it could not be converted.. I gladlt picked up that gauntlet.

Allrighty than: 'ere we go! I must admit it had been a very long time since I felt nervous about cutting up a model.
What I did was make use of the resin texture to make small, deep cuts around his leg and but-cheek.
I re-positioned it making it look as he stand proud, boasting is Slaaneshi beauty, taunting his enemies!

Having done that I started with the blue-stuff mock-up of his shoulder pads. I removed the original and choose the Chaos knight ones.

Next phase was starting to fill in the blanks. He had a huge gap in his groin (ouch) , a gap at his.. Well.. His gap and his left hand needs work too.
I already did this yesterday (picks will be up ASAP, also showing the proceeding step: adding the weapon and shield.

Let me know what you guys think so far!

Whoa! That's quite a leap of faith to cut up such a nice model, I would've agreed with your friend. But good job man! His whole aura has been changed. And it looks like there was only minimal damage to clean up.
Definitely going to be a unique general! Can't wait to see him painted

Oh a shield and a morning star, and some kind of big furry cape? Great repose though! I look forward to where he goes.

I am now accepting commissions for any hobby project! I've been in the hobby since '92. Specializing in traditional brush methods, creating a gritty dark aesthetic. From single character models to entire armies. From individual terrain pieces to entire table tops. From tabletop level to masterclass level painting. From purchasing and assembly to leveling up your assembled armies paint job. If it has to do with the hobby I can do it! Hit me up and let's chat about your project!

Hey guys!

Thanks for the comments.

The shield will be this:

For the sword I'm going for this: I want that slick, slender look, which most bulky chaos weapons miss. :(

He'll get a slightly converted cloak. I'm using a cloak from the old plastic warriors kit. ^^

All the muscle parts will be 1/1 chaos black - liche purple, with a badab black wash, pure liche over it and 2/1 liche puple - bleached bone.
The rest of the armour will be 1/1 scorched brown - dwarf bronze, ogre flesh wash and work up to shining gold.

His face will become a silver mask using chainmail, badab washes(several probably) and mithril silver highlights.

Glad I could jump on this thread when it's just starting up. Progress is looking quite solid. Excited to see where this ends up.
