Im only asking this question because I've noticed that first of all there arent much uses for the German MP40s from PSC and also since I also plan to buy PSC russian infantry. The lack of smg in there just worries me. Since the motor rifle company in red bear is all SMG equipped. This will make buying PSC infantry as an expensive way to play Russian motor rifle company.

It really depends on the people you are playing. Most people will probably be fine if you mix in rifles with your SMGs, but some groups may not like you proxying rifles as SMGs.

If you have no use for the rifles, it might be a better idea overall to order the SMGs from somewhere else, as there are about as many rifles as SMGs in PSC Russian infantry.

Pretty much this. It depends on the folks you play

I'll also agree that perhaps some additional models may be a good idea. Old Glory Command Decision for example sells SMG soldiers

As long as your "SMG teams" have a majority of SMG-armed figures, you shouldn't have a problem with either casual or hardcore players.

Few "real" SMG teams were armed exclusively with SMGs in WW2.

As long is there is way to tell the difference between the SMG stands and the other stands I see no problem.
