I'm doing a coversion project of a space marine riding a great eagle to lead my Blood Eagles chapter into battle. If space wolves can have thunderwolves, I'll take eagles

I was thinking of using this conversion with the rules for mephiston, despite the model being completely different. I was just wondering whether many people would have a problem with me using it as a substitute. As far as I can tell, it's tactically worse than mephiston as it is too large to hide behind tanks.

And what about at tournaments? Would I be allowed to play with it at, say a throne of skulls?

Well, he'd have a force sword and plasma pistol, don't think theres anything else mephiston has.

I wouldn't mind playing it, but you might want to have a Mephiston model as back up in case you bump into TFG, especially at tournaments.
