This is an odd question for a non-Warhammer 40k player to ask but I was just wondering;

Can Squiggoth have Red Paint Jobs? To gain the additional inch of movment inline with the "Red wunz go fasta" upgrade.

If Squiggoth can benefit from the rule what must be red about them? Just thier armor? Or can they have warpaid on thier hides or naturally red tinted hides?

Just something I got to wondering about and that I haven't been able to find an answer too.

Is a Squiggoth a vehicle? Answer that question first then ask yourself again.

Huh, well no. But like I said I don't actually play Warhammer 40k or own any of the Codex so it wasn't something I thought to ask.

In my own mind I consider Squiggoth to be vehicles, given how Orks use them as mobile fortress.

Also most Orks tech follows the rules of "anything goes as long as its Orky", but I'm guessing from an offical standpoint that would be a no on the Red Paint Job?

Orks believe a Red Paint job makes things go faster. Now tell that to the Squiggoth. You are just lucky he doesn't eat you while you are riding him!

I'd love to be able to give ork Kanz and Dredds RPJ also, but alas, no.

Probably the Squiggoth wouldn't go any faster for being painted red.

Shove a palmful of fresh ginger where the sun don't shine and it'll just zoom along though...

By the rules of the wargame, they can NOT have red paint.

In the fictional setting, of course they can have red paint! The effect of the paint is caused by the combined latent psychic ability of the orks belief of how things work. I see no reason why an ambitious ork wouldn't try to paint a squiggoth red. Whether it would affect the squigoth, or whether the ork latent psyker abilities affect organics at all, is up for debate.

Cyber-Squigs, anyone? Actually I think I 've seen one before...

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Heh, what'd be cute is if someone took an arm from a gretchen taking any weapons off & with green stuff fashioned a sort of paint brush for said hand & having the arm cut @ 1/2 way between the elbow/shoulder & have it hanging out of the said creatures' mouth or comng out from under the foot with blood spatter on the ground

NICE! Those robo-squigs would be excellent models to represent a Warboss' attack squig! I'm inspired.

Yeah, in fluff orks can paint anything red to make it go faster. In the first Dawn of War PC game, you could buy your Warboss Red Boots to make him run faster.

In rules, none of the Squigoths are allowed the red paint upgrade.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

*looks at imperial armour 8* well you can paint it red... nothing stopping you there... but it is not an upgrade for the wee beasty so it will only make the orks riding it think they are going faster when they are not sorry lol.

p.s. i want those robosquigs... not idea why but me wants me wants

Pretre: Are repressors assault vehicles? If they are, I'm gonna need emergency pants.
n0t_u: No, but six can shoot out of it. Other than that it's a Rhino with a Heavy Flamer thrown on if I remember correctly.
Pretre: Thanks! I guess my pants are safe and clean after all.
