So, I know that in mech lists, it's possible to have a stray 50 points hanging around, and so you would start looking for ways to fill that. Outside of this, like in a foot list with russes where you could have been taking other weapons upgrades elsewhere, or in a mech list where you don't have a convenient Pask-sized hole in your list, would you sacrifice spending points on other stuff so that one of your russes could have Pask?

I mean, I guess I understand that Pask in an exterminator is rather a beast and, more importantly, has the ability to put out 4 S8+ shots vs. vehicles, making it a pretty serious threat against AV and 12 (unlike, say, the executioner, the only other multi-shot direct fire tank that can threaten vehicles), but unless I know I'm coming up against a mechvet guard player, I don't know how it's going to be all that much more worth it than, say, spending the points to pass around sponsons or other actual weapons upgrades elsewhere.

It's not that I can't find a hypothetical use if I stretch my brain (and circumstances on the field) enough, but I'm wondering if, practically, he's really all that worth making sacrifices elsewhere in your list to take.

So, I guess he is sort of good for a regular russ (with hull lascannon), right? Against AV14 you have a BS3 weapon that pens 1/6th of the time and another BS3 weapon that peels paint. With Pask you have a BS4 weapon that pens 1/3rd of the time, and another BS4 weapon that also pens 1/3rd of the time. 5x better against AV14 and 3x better against AV13. You don't come across this armor class ALL that often, and you still have melta and plasma right?

I used him in an exterminator with hull lascannon for many games.

Then I replaced this tank with the more flexible Executioner. He can either shoot 3x s7 on vehicles (and surrounding infantry maybe hitting them) or he can target infantry shot out of transports.

If I want the firepower, I take 2 Hydras or 1 Hydra and 1 Vendetta. If I want the durability and the physiys of a russ (mobile wall) I dont need Pask.

He does a good job in the Exterminator, but there are better choices. (The second problem is, that he has to be stationary to use his +1 strength)

Only have used Pask as a fun option in friendly games. Have used him with the exterminator and the punisher. Of course, the punisher is the way to go with him against horde armies and the exterminator against mech lists. Either way, he is not the best thing to waste points on. If I had a 50 point hole, I would look where to shed 15 more and then drop Marbo into the game.
